"I'm already regretting this... what did I do, this is just making it harder I'm going to break his heart!!" Shōyō whisper yelled to himself, he was sitting on his bed with his head in his hands. He huffed as he looked up.

"I should write a separate message for him. No giving out your phone or email address... okay who am I kidding? My phone number, yes good idea." he got up and grabbed a paper and began writing words down. He looked at the time. 23:45, everyone in the house should be asleep by now.

He left the note beside the other one with the title "For Inuoka".

He anxiously grabbed his things, put on his jacket and got out of the room quietly, if anyone heard anything, they'd think someone was going to the bathroom. Alright... he tiptoed his way down the stairs and out the front door, he locked with his keys and dropped them through the small mail hatch.

"Alright... not a big deal just... go. You're going to go through with this because you're no wimp and you don't back out." Shōyō went to his bike and strapped his gym bag to the back of the motorbike while adjusting his backpack comfortably on his back. He put on the helmet and started the engine before driving into the chilly night.

He pulled up at the ATM first to grab the money from his account before Mat or Rosanne blocked it with most of the money in it. Grabbing the couple thousands and putting them with the rest he pulled up at a gas station next buying food and gas for the way.

Driving around Tokyo was not the easiest thing but driving all the way from Tokyo to Miyagi was even tougher, he took the longer way but at least he didn't have to pay to continue. He was definitely crazy for doing it, but here he was in the middle of the quiet highway with the thousands of stars in the dark sky that were one of the only things that lit up the place except the occasional cars and frequent street lamps. Shōyō could feel the adrenaline rush through his veins, he knew he shouldn't be doing something like that, but he didn't care anymore.

He thought about Inuoka and about the others, the rest of his family, that he left behind. Guilt was eating him alive, but he knew that he wouldn't lose them forever. Just suck it up and be a man Shōyō, just suck it up.

\To my second true and probably only family...

I just want you to know that I know what I'm doing is crazy, but I don't want to be stopped... I've already planned everything. My high school, where I'll live and even found a proper job! So, you don't need to worry about me!

I ran away somewhere far away to achieve my dreams, I know that I could have achieved them in Tokyo but I want something tougher. Something that my idol has gone through.

I really appreciate everything you've done for me for all of those 9 years and I sure as hell don't recommend for any of the others to do this. Don't even think about it. Seriously.

I just hope that you guys will just be happy for me and not worried or anything else... if my plans somehow fail, I will surely come back here first.

Sincerely

Shōyō\

\To Inuoka

I know that I should have told you before because you're the most important person in my life and I will never forget you. This doesn't mean that I want to break it off, I'm never going to do that because that would be stupid.

I know that I probably broke almost everything we had but I promise you with my own life that I love you and I'd die for you. Hell I'd live for you. I'd do anything for you. You have had such an impact on me ever since we met that you don't even understand how much you mean to me, simple words can't explain.

I really hope you feel the same way, I'm sure you do, and I want to tell you... in case our schools ever go against each other... I'm going to Karasuno High School in Miyagi but I beg of you to not tell anyone else.

I'm not going to give out my phone number but I promise I'll write to everyone every once in a while!!

And Inuoka... I just want you to know that you mean everything to me. I love you.

Sincerely

Your Shōyō\

Tears fell down Inuokas cheeks as his eyes scanned the last sentence.

They woke up in the morning and Inuoka was sent to Shōyōs room to wake him up, only to find out he wasn't anywhere to be seen and most of his things were gone. His motorbike. Everything.

They read the first letter out loud and then gave Inuoka the other letter for him to read privately. So here he was, in his room, crying his heart out.

"Why did you leave me Shōyō? Please... But I guess I understand... you can leave, they all do."

A week had passed since Shōyō had found a good hotel to stay at and a couple days since he found a decent work shift at a nearby cafe. He was signed to take orders and to stand behind the cash register. He had talked to his school and fixed all his papers, where he lived, informed them that he was forced to have a job – which they accepted pretty easily considering his living circumstances.

It was 13:49 and Shōyō was working an afternoon shift at the café, there was a decent amount of people considering it was still mid-summer. He was cleaning a table when he heard the bell ring which signalled new costumers came in. He turned around and was met with a group of boys around his age wearing blue and white uniforms. Volleyball uniforms.

"Great job guys! Another win now only one match left to win and we're officially the best team in the whole of Miyagi!" an adult said to which the boys cheered, all of them except their elderly coach and another boy that had a frown on his face.

"W-welcome! What can I get for you?" Shōyō made his way to the counter and asked politely, cursing slightly at himself for stuttering.

"Hey look! It's an elementary schooler! Aren't you a little too young to work here?!" a guy with weird hair asked. His hair is like a turnip...

"Excuse me?" Shōyō tried his best to remain professional.

"Woah easy there Kindaichi! He's probably older than you!"

"Yeah sure..."

"I'm sorry for that. We'll take the normal, please."

"I apologize sir, I'm new!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Well we'll have one iced royal milk tea, two iced cocoas, one iced coffee mocha, four iced teas, two iced kokutou lattes, one cappuccino, one espresso coffee, one cocoa and four orange juices please."

"Right away sir, that'll be 5990 yen please."

After what seemed like the coach paid for the order Shōyō began working on it, the team sat on a table and began conversing with each other happily. Shōyō was glancing at them every now and then. He wanted to ask them what school they played for, why they were celebrating.

Did they win some kind of match? It seems like it. Were they in middle or high school? Because they seemed pretty big. If they are in middle school what high school have they chosen? Shōyō wondered if anybody of those boys would go to Karasuno as well.

"Here's your order, hope you have a great time!"

The group cheered and took their own drinks as they began drinking. Shōyō saw that one of them, that still had a frown on his face, was being left out from most of the conversations and no one had even bothered to talk to him.

Shōyō brushed it off as a bad day, even if he wanted to, he couldn't just march up to him and talk to him. He continued to work as more costumers came in.

After some time, he glanced at that boy again, seeing he was on his way to the bathroom.
