It's downright inevitable, you and me, but just in case we don't make it, I would want you to know that I have never loved anyone the way that I love you, and as sure as I am that the moon needs the sun, I know I'll still love you a hundred years from now.
And If ever one day my kids ask me if I loved anyone before I found their daddy, my first thought will be of you smiling at me. Going down memory lane would bring happiness to my soul, and I'll look them in the eyes and tell them "only once before."
So, if not in this lifetime, then in the next.
We'll be together one day.
I promise you that.
