"I think these came out rad. Right?" Nina jokes as she yanks at her tye-dye shirt.

I shake my head laughing. "Rad?" I raise my brow at her. "Don't talk like that again." I joke with her.

She chuckles and shrugs her shoulders. Her bubbly self, smiling from ear to ear, proud of the shirts that she made for us. They did come out cool though. So many colors splattered all over my shirt. Like a rainbow threw up on it.

"Trying to talk like a hippie. They wear tye-dye. You know, just chilling, so radically cool dude, Namaste." Nina says in a weird monotone voice and puts her hands together and bows her head.

"Stop." I say and we both laugh.

P.E. class was just about over for the day, and we had finished any assignments that needed to be done. All I had was to finish the rest of the stuff for my math project with Dex. It was all ready to be turned in finally; well, it will be by tomorrow when he finishes his little part tonight. Nina and I sit on the bleachers and are talking when I look over at Dean who is focused on his work, writing something on his paper with determination, his eyebrow furrowed.

I smack my forehead and Nina stops talking to look at me with a confused look.

"Ummm, are you okay?" She asks with a grin.

"Yes. It's just I completely forgot to tell you something, and I have no idea how I forgot!" Excitement in my voice. I can't believe I forgot to tell her about my plans tonight with Dean. He hasn't said much to me today, and even at lunch he was rather quiet. So, I hope we were still on for tonight, because I have been looking forward to it since the moment he asked me. "I have plans tonight." I tell her, not elaborating on the details just yet, knowing that it will drive her crazy.

"And? Well, what plans? You can't just leave me with something like that." She furrows her brows and looks annoyed. I grin at my amusement. I know her all too well. But I can't contain my excitement anymore, so I scoot closer to her and whisper in her ear, "Dean called me last night and asked me if I wanted to watch a movie tonight. I am going over to his house..."

"What?!" She shrieks. Everyone looks over at us, including Dean. Way to be subtle Nina. I look down and try to avoid eye contact as I flush.

"Nina!" I shout in a whisper.

"Oops. Sorry." She chuckles. Not realizing how many people's attention she got by her reaction to my confession. "Oh my. Scarlett! How did you not tell me this already? Oh my gosh, I am so excited for you. I mean I knew that it would happen eventually, but dang. Nicely done Dean, nicely done." She giggles as we both look over to Dean who is back to doing his work. "So, what are you going to wear? Something shhexxy?" Nina nudges my arm and wiggles her brows.

"What? No. We are literally watching a movie and at his house. So, no I am not dressing up. Besides, I still don't know if this is just as friends or if he asked me as in like a date?" I question myself. I would like to consider it a date but I don't want to jump to conclusions in case it is just as friends in his head.

"You are so naïve I swear." She giggles again. "Scarlett, the boy called you to come to his house and watch a movie. Have you really never heard of the phrase, Netflix and chill?" She says sarcastically. "Dean isn't that type of guy though so your fine."

"First off, it's Batman vs. Superman, not Netflix. And second, what do you mean?"

Nina rolls her eyes and giggles again. "That's beside the point. What I mean is, the guy is into you and he isn't the type to just hook up with whomever. He won't be looking to just call you over to 'pretend' to watch a movie in hopes of just to roll around in the sheets with you." She finger quotes pretend.

I hope she is right. Well, about the part where she said he is into me. Because I know the rest is true. He really doesn't seem like the type. But then again, neither did Ryker and look how that turned out. I roll my eyes at the thought and Nina catches it.

"Don't be rolling your eyes at me missy." She tries to sound like a stern mother, pointing her finger at my chest. Her face suddenly changes to a grin and she lowers her finger. "Just have fun and enjoy the movie. I am just calling it now though...you guys are going to get married one day. Just watch." Her smile grows and she continues, "And I better be invited...no, better yet, I better be the maid of honor."

I raise my brow and just blankly stare at her before bursting out into laughter when the bell rings. "You are crazy." I love my best friend. Her bubbly, friendly, and crazy self.

After work, I tell Dean that I didn't want to smell like food so I want to go shower first before I go to his house. I get home and hop in the shower, washing my hair and body. When I step out of the shower, my feet form a puddle on the floor because I barely dried myself off. I am too anxious and my heart is beating so fast. I don't know what to expect. I brush my hair and brush my teeth, not forgetting to floss. I look at my reflection in the mirror and swipe my tongue over my teeth to make sure nothing is in them and then apply some chap stick on my lips and rub lotion all over my body.

Next I rummage through my closet deciding what to wear. Nina's advice in the back of my head to wear something sexy. I roll my eyes as I search and search, finding nothing. Nina has a lot more cute clothes than I do. I should go shopping for some clothes soon. I finally decide on a black pair of leggings, a teal tank top, a gray hoodie, and my black converse. This will have to do. I let my hair hang down, as it air dried nicely. Sometimes I get lucky with my natural waves. I look one more time in the mirror at my reflection and exhale and text Dean that I am on my way.

"Seth I will be back, I am going to go watch a movie with Dean." I yell as I grab my keys and head in a fast pace towards the door.

"Mmmhhmm okay...have fun....Wait!" He walks out of the kitchen and comes to face me. "Who is Dean? And where are you guys going to watch a movie?" He voice concerned and authoritative.

"Dean is a friend and we will be at his house watching a movie. His mother will be home too so no need to worry." I assure Seth.

"Is this the same boy who you went to that birthday party for? There better be no funny business. Even if his mother is there, I know stuff can still happen. I used to when I still lived with..."

"With mom and dad?" I finished his sentence.

He nodded and slouched his shoulders. "Yeah."

I smile and rub his shoulder, trying to comfort him the best I can. It is really hard to comfort someone about something that you have not yet fully grieved about either or moved on from. But really, how do you move on from losing your parents? It's like Elena says in the Vampire Diaries, a heartbreaking line but so true, 'The worst day of loving someone is the day you lose them.' That is what is so scary about loving someone, is that at any moment, you can lose them. I don't think I can handle losing someone else I cared about. I can't.

I snap out of my thoughts and look back at Seth who is still sulking. I try and change the subject by lightening it. "Well no need to worry. Even with his mother around, there will be no funny business."

I grin waiting for his reaction. He lifts his brown as if to argue my defense.

"I am still a virgin after all, so none of that."

His eyes go wide and he forms and 'O' shape with his mouth. He scrunches his nose and then says, "Eww gross, okay no. Not having this conversation with my little sister. Just go have fun, but be careful. If he touches you or does anything against your will, you better call me."

I love him so much. I really couldn't have asked for a better brother. Mom and dad would be so proud of him. I hug him tight and kiss his cheek before leaving the house.
