Daniel's POV
"Welcome back Daniel. Did you enjoy your six month slumber?"
"What are you doing here Rashad!? Are you and Ragnvald planning to kidnap me again?"
"No. He and everyone else are in jail, and I decided to dedicate my life to helping others."
"I don't buy it. You're up to something, but anyway am I free to leave?"
"Yeah, you are. Once you pay your bill that is."
"Ok. Say, how did I end up in here?"
"You were attacked by ten other people. Logan tried to help you but he got knocked out before he could do anything."
"Liar. It was Logan who put me in here."
"Do you want help dealing with him?"
"No. I can handle him. Plus I got to keep my family and kids safe. Plus, why would you care? You were the one who made me have to cover up those horrible injuries that happened to me when I was kidnapped by you and Ragnvald's posse. I'm just glad that they've healed. But I had to hide those injuries for a long ass time, so it's hard for me to believe that you dedicated your life to be a doctor."
"I'm sorry for what I did all those years ago, but we had to do what Ragnvald said, otherwise he'd kill us all. Including you."
"So you were saving my life by torturing me?"
"Pretty much. I'm not a jerk Daniel. Please believe me."
"As long as this isn't all a ruse I will, but if it is you can shove your apology up your ass."
"I swear on my life that's it the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth."
"So then why'd you and Ragnvald kidnap my son Kaden? Kaden almost died because all of you were stalling me."
"Orders are orders, but I'm no longer that person."
"I hope so, now I better get going. Logan is probably having a hissy fit in the waiting room."
"Ok. Enjoy the rest of your day Daniel."
"Thanks. You do the same."
"I will."
Later...
"What took you so long?"
"I was talking with Rashad."
"And what did he have to say?"
"He offered to help me with you, but I refused his help."
"Like kill me?"
"I think so, but like I said I turned down his help."
"Then I guess I'm going to have to kill him before he kills me."
"Just be glad he's no longer with Ragnvald."
"Your old kidnapper?"
"Yep. Everyone except Rashad is in jail."
"He's probably lying, so please excuse me while I go make some phone calls."
"If you're going after everyone who was in Ragnvald's posse to kill them, I want in."
"Then let's get to work."
