Chapter Seven

Luke held tightly to Leia as the chased after the two scouts in front of them.

"Quick. Jam their comlink! Center switch!" Luke ordered as Leia pulled the switch. The Speeder Bike swerved as Leia steered it though turns. Ahead the two scouts had just gone over a giant fallen log. Leia and Luke quickly ducked their heads as they went under it.

"Move closer!" Luke yelled holding onto Leia. The princess obeyed his orders once more and moved closer to the scouts. "Get alongside that one!" he said as they approached one of the scouts. As the moved closer, the scout began to bump Luke and Leia's Speeder Bike.

"Oh!" Leia exclaimed almost losing control of the bike. Luke jumped onto the bike with the scout. He jumped behind him, quickly snapping his neck and pushing him off causing him to hit a tree. Leia looked over to Luke who motioned for her to move over a bit. As the two continued to chase one scout, two more suddenly approached behind them. The scouts suddenly fired at Luke, he turned around to see who had exactly fired.

"Keep on that one! I'll take these two!" He yelled at Leia then turning the brake to go back behind the scouts. Luke started firing at the one of the scouts. The scout then took a sharp turning causing him and the bike to collide with a tree with an explosion. Luke continued to go after the other scout. As he was about to fire a figure came out of the woods and stood in front of him. He instantly knew who it was, Emily. Luke pulled the brake making it come to a complete stop about an inch away from Emily.

"Get on!" He yelled, Emily took no time jumping up onto the bike and taking a seat behind Luke. "Where were you?" he questioned taking a quick glance at her. Her face looked angry, Luke bit his tongue. "Is there something you want to tell me?" He said asking her once more. Emily said nothing, Luke shook his head and brought his attention back to the scout. Emily rested her head upon his back, closing her eyes trying to forget Han.

Luke began bumping into the scout with the bike. Emily soon loss her focus, still outraged, Emily pushed her fists into Luke's stomach to signal him to stop.

"Sorry!" He yelled pulling away from the scout. "Hold on!" Luke yelled as the approached a sharp turn. Emily held onto Luke tightly as the turned at an angle. The scout once more was at their side. Luke had once more began bumping the scout. As he attempted to pull away he noticed the bikes were stuck together up front. He was finally able to separate from the scout. Luke's eyes widened as he saw a tree approaching.

"Emily! On my go jump with me!" Luke said quickly looking back at her. She gave a nod and held onto Luke even tighter. "Now!" Luke yelled as he and Emily both projected themselves from the bike. The bike kept going until it crashed into the tree.

The scout had circled back around to finish the Jedi off. Luke ignited his lightsaber and turned to look at Emily. "You stay down!" He ordered as the blonde crouched back down. The scout had begun to fire at Luke, who quickly deflected all the blasts and cut off the engine to the bike as he drove by. The scout spun out of control and hit a tree. Luke took off his helmet, and deactivated his lightsaber. He then turned back to Emily, he could see a scarlet streak across her face.

"You're bleeding." he said approaching her.

"I'm fine!" Emily said quickly wiping the blood away. "I'm fine, see?" Seconds later she began to bleed once more.

"You're still bleeding." Luke said extending his hand to wipe away the blood. As he touched her face he saw a vision. Not a vision, but a memory from Emily. Luke saw Han and Emily kissing intensely.

"You kissed him?" Luke said almost growling. Emily didn't meet Luke's gaze she just stared at his clenched fists. " You kissed him?" Luke repeated once more now fully growling. Luke walked away to avoid from taking his anger out on Emily. She followed behind him.

"Please, Luke I didn't--" Emily began but was soon quickly cut off.

"I know what I saw Emily! You kissed him! He's my best friend and you're my-- So the vision meant nothing? I mean nothing?" Luke said yelling.

"No! You just won't let me tell you what really happened." Emily spat.

Luke had turned away and begun to walk. "I don't need to hear your excuse. You kissed him, I guess I was nothing to you the whole time Emily."

"Okay, be that way! I'll be waiting right here when you want to hear the truth." Emily sat down on a log. Luke turned back around he picked Emily up and flung her over his shoulder.

Emily began to beat his back. "Please! Luke I just want to show you the truth!" Emily yelled and squirmed to escape his grip. Finally Luke sat her down.

"Okay, show me." Luke said, Emily could see that Luke was trying to hold tears in. She knew he really loved, and cared for her. Though they only met earlier. Emily closed her eyes and placed her hand upon his face. Luke saw Emily and Han arguing then Han pulling her into his arms and kissing her. He then saw Emily punching Han directly in the face afterwards.

"See? I didn't kiss him. He kissed me, don't be mad at him. It is Han we are talking about. When he kissed me I felt his love for Leia, Luke. It was strong, stronger than the love he once had for me." Emily looked into Luke's eyes. "He loves her, not me. And I have no feelings for him." She said stroking his cheek gently.

"I'm sorry." Luke whispered to her pulling her closer to him.

"I love you." Emily said as she pulled Luke in for a passionate kiss.

He wrapped his arms around her. "I love you too. Let's get back to the others before they send out a search team.
