▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Hamish eventually calmed down when he deemed my reason of absence adequate. I think he was glad that I had made up with Bobby to be honest.
The week had passed quickly and we'd started giving Bobby lifts to and from school so that he didn't have to walk anymore. It was really fun: us two in the back seat. What's more is that Drew started bringing both of us sweets, everyday, which Hamish wasn't very happy about, but never mind. Ha ha ha.
It was Saturday evening and Talulah was here. How fantastic...not. I get the impression that she really doesn't like me, but Hamish seems oblivious: smitten by her flowing hair and girly laugh. Ugh. I know he's still young and shouldn't be in the position that he is, but I think he's starting to ignore me - bit by bit.
We were watching a James Bond, which came up on ITV; Hamish knows I find them scary and if we do ever decide to watch a James Bond, he lets me sit on his lap so that I can hide in his chest. But where was I sitting, you may ask? I was on the bean bag, hiding under a blanket, glaring at Hamish and 'Tally', as I like to call her (because she hates it), who were wrapped in each others arms, whispering and giggling to each other on the sofa. They weren't even watching the film!
I tried to be daring by taking a little peek at the screen. Big mistake. I saw two huge Komodo dragons about to attack agent 007. I yelped and darted towards the sofa, currently occupied by the love birds. I jumped onto Hamish, burying my head into his soft hoodie while simultaneously knocking Tally onto the floor.
She pathetically cried out for Hamish who was laughing while gripping onto my trembling form.
"Babyyyyyy-" She whined "It's not funyyyyy."
"It kind of is Lulah" He chuckled, rubbing circles on my back.
She humphed and plopped back down next to Hamish; I didn't miss her death stare as I looked out to the side of Hamish's chest.
"Are you okay, Sweetpea?" He gently whispered into my ear.
I shook my head and looked up, giving him my best puppy eyes. Hamish kissed me on the nose and began to stand up, still holding me in his arms.
"Where are you going, Baby?" Tally protested.
"I'm just going to put Ollie in bed, all right? I'll be back soon." He replied.
She glared at me for about the sixteenth time today before saying a sickeningly sweet 'good night' to me. We both knew it was fake. It was painfully obvious, just not from Hamish's end.
Hamish climbed the stairs and took me straight into the bathroom, setting me down in front of the sink. He sighed, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms.
I was halfway through my teeth-timer and Hamish decided to speak up.
"Would you mind if you spent the day with Drew and Jason tomorrow?" He asked nervously, scratching the back of his neck. I spat out my toothpaste and looked up at him, smiling.
"Of course not! What are we going to do?" I asked in anticipation.
Hamish coughed and took a deep breath.
I don't like where this is going.
"You see, the thing is...I asked Lulah if she wanted to have lunch with me tomorrow -" He began, dragging a hand though his curls.
"Why can't I come with you?" I puzzled, cocking my head to the side.
"It's not really something you can come along to, Sweetpea. It's me and Talulah time." He spoke out.
