▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬It was our final day and Hamish and I were getting packed up to go home. Having filled the car and cleared up the area surrounding our base, we were off on the road.
"Can we go and see Bobby today?" I asked, desperate to see my best friend and tell him everything.
"How about tomorrow, Sweetpea? We still have to get Noodle from Drew and Jason and I'm honestly knackered. I'm sorry." He sighed, reasoning with my request.
I nodded, resting my head against the window and watching all the trees rush by on the side of the road. We quickly stopped off at a services to get something to eat and powered on down the motorway. It took us ages to get back; there was so much traffic. I think it was around three o'clock when we got to Drew and Jason. Noodle jumped straight into my arms as soon as she saw me and I fell to the floor as she licked my entire face. The adults all laughed from above and as they talked in the kitchen over cups of tea, I sat in the snug, watching Chicken Run with Noodle all curled up in my lap.
I don't think I realised how tired I really was until Hamish was shaking my shoulder so I would wake up and we could go home.
As soon as we got into the house, I put a bowl of food down for Noodle then collapsed onto the sofa, face first. I heard Hamish chuckle in amusement from behind me and then all went quiet. He must have gone to the kitchen. A few moments later, something was snuffling in front of my face and I peeked an eye open to find Noodle.
"I think she wants to go out, Ollie!" Hamish called from the kitchen and I reluctantly led my puppy outside.
I sat on the seat swing as Noodle explored eagerly with her nose and the gentle movement lulled me into a very light sleep. A sleep from which I was awoken by my brother's phone camera.
"So cute." He grinned, beckoning me inside to eat.
I ate like Noo-Noo from the Teletubbies and as soon as Hamish had kissed me goodnight, I was out like a light.
The next morning I was downstairs and dressed at seven, impatiently waiting for my brother to come back from his run.
He walked in, sweat dripping down his face which he wiped away with the hem of his shirt. I cringed as the top changed colour from being drenched by his facial sweat.
"It's natural, munchkin." He poked me, having noticed my disgust.
I rolled my eyes, waiting for him to pour my cereal.
"Waterfall time." He smirked, letting the chocolaty goodness fall, followed by the milk.
He laughed over the brim of his mug as I basically inhaled the Weetos.
"Right, I'm going to go and get showered and dressed - then I'll drop you off at Jagged Blossom, yeah?"
I nodded eagerly, rushing upstairs to get a bag of things together to take with me to the care home.
Hamish was in a rush because he'd gotten a call from Drew saying that an important case had been called in and my brother was needed ASAP.
Hamish called out to me to have a good day before he whisked away and I turned around to face disaster.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬It was the day. The day I was due to move to London to live with Hosanna and Richard. I was buzzing with nerves but also excitement. I wondered what my new room would look like and also what my new school would be like. Would I make new friends?
