Hamish

A/N : Thank you @mimiwolfpup for curing my writer's block by giving me the idea to write from Hamish's perspective. LOVE YOU!Drew and Jason had just left for their day with Ollie and I was really excited to spend mine with Talulah. Since the day she was born I've been looking after Olivia. As much as I adore being the one she relies on, sometimes it's just too much. I'm twenty-five and I'm pretty much a full-time father as well as working full-time. I've never experienced a true childhood - From the age of fifteen, I'd basically been raising a daughter, and before that, I'd been raising myself. I thought I deserved to have this time to do what I wanted. Time to enjoy myself.
I arrived a few minutes late at Talulah's house and sat in the car for a minute, just relaxing a little before I took her out to lunch. I do love spending time with her, however it can be a little exhausting...sometimes.
Knocking on the door, I straightened my shirt and quickly combed a hand through my curls. The door swung open to reveal my gorgeous girlfriend. She was wearing a simple white, off-the-shoulder top with a pair of black, high-waisted jeans. She looked like a goddess. Her hair was styled to perfection and her make-up was bold and striking.
How did I get this girl?
"Hey, Babe, you look stunning." I smiled, kissing her on the cheek.
She didn't return my smile. Just a blank stare.
"What's wrong?" I worried.
"You're late." She rolled her eyes.
Seriously?
"I'm sorry, Baby - I had to wait for Drew to come and get Ollie." I quickly explained.
She scoffed, rolling her eyes again.
"It's fine, Hamish. Just don't do it again."
She turned back to her flirty self instantly and I sighed in relief. I did not want an awkward lunch date. Offering her my arm, which she gladly took, I lead her to my car, helping her into the passenger seat and closing the door before quickly rushing over to my side.
"Where are we going then?" She piped up happily as she plugged her phone into the car, choosing some Justin Bieber song.
"Bieber? Are you serious?" I mocked.
"Hey! Justin Bieber is one of the most talented musicians to have ever stepped foot on this planet" She announced.
I stared at her for a second, not sure if she was telling the truth or just joking around. I think she was being serious.
"What?" She giggled, gently pushing me on the arm.
"Er...nothing, Lulah" I smiled back "We're going to Pizza Express, by the way - I hope that's not a problem."
"Oh. Okay, yeah sure." She slowly replied.
"What's wrong now, Babe?" I huffed, getting slightly frustrated.
"I just thought that today was going to be special." She replied quietly, looking down.
I reached my hand over to rest on her thigh, gently squeezing. I then moved it to grab one of her hands, lacing our fingers together.
"It is special, Babe. We're spending time together, just the two of us. I don't need to have the finest food to enjoy your company." I said proudly, trying to show her how much she meant to me.
"Yeah, of course, Baby! I just like to know that I'm worth something to you." She quipped.
She almost rendered me speechless. Almost.
