Chapter 9

Niall woke up to extremely loud giggles, and a radio on. He sat up a bit and ran a hand through his hair looking over at the culprits of the giggles.

Persephone, Athena and Liam were all in the kitchen, laughing and dancing around to the radio. "Daddy. Daddy hush NiNi waked up." Athena giggled slapping her hand over her father's singing mouth.

Niall shook his head smiling as he stretched and stood. "Why you sleep on the couch Niall?" Persephone asked grabbing his hand and pulling him into the kitchen. "You sleep with me. Or Athie." Persephone suggested and Niall shook his head.

"Oh no sweetheart." Niall scooped her up and she sat on his hip.

"Why not?" She pouted jutting out her lower lip.

"Because I'm a boy and you're a girl." Niall explained and Liam smiled setting Athena down so he could finish cooking.

"Niall." Liam smiled and Niall looked up. "Will you grab the mail for me from downstairs? Just tell Emily my last name and all."

Niall nodded, sat down Persephone and went downstairs in nothing but joggers and a t shirt to get mail.

Niall walked up to the front desk and smiled lazily. "I'm here to collect the mail for a Mister Liam Payne." Niall bit his lip gently as the girl called Emily, just giggled and handed him a manila envelope addressed to Liam Payne.

"Who are you?" She asked softly.

"I'm his boyfriend." Niall replied even though they weren't official, leaving the girl wide eyed as he walked upstairs.

Niall and Liam both sat at the dining room table as Athena and Persephone ate their breakfast watching cartoons. "These are the results Niall." Liam whispered softly. Niall nodded, reaching over to squeeze Liam's knee lovingly.

"You can do it." Niall smiled and Liam nodded opening the letter whilst Niall was struggling as he had to pick food out of his braces.

Liam read through the results, his face completely dropping. Niall noticed and bit his lip. "Its positive..." Liam whispered softly just staring at the paper.

"Ill be back." Niall mumbled standing up, he slammed the door as he left and he even forgot his sunglasses.

He just drove around for a few hours, not knowing where to go and what to do before he went back to Liam's. "Persephone get your arse in here and sit down." Liam was upset clearly and Niall knocked on the door. Liam let him in and smiled some before crouching down in front of the girls. "Alright daddy's gunna ask this one time and you have to tell me the truth alright?"

Persephone and Athena both nodded and looked at their daddy, Athena still sucking on her dummy. "What is it daddy?" Persephone asked.

"Well, do you guys like that mummy is with Danny?" Liam asked and Niall sat on a bar stool watching quietly.

"Sometimes." Persephone started. "He gives us sweets when mummy say no, and he tuck us in." She shrugged and Liam smiled a little. "Danny yells a lot though. We don't like it." She finished. Liam glanced at Athena, who just looked at her older sister. Liam turned to look at Niall and Niall just nodded walking over and scooping up Athena.

"Let's have a little talk in your room." Niall whispered taking her into her bedroom. -leaving the door open-

"Persephone Marlus, don't lie to daddy alright? This is really important." Liam whispered as he sat beside her and kissed her head.

"What is it?" Persephone asked.

"Has Danny been... touching you or Athena places your underwear covers?" Liam asked, just a bit awkwardly. Persephone looked at her father a second, biting on her lip, before she shrugged.

At the same time Liam was talking with Persephone, Niall was talking/playing with Athena. Kitten had gotten her dolls out and they sat there on her bed playing. "Athena, how do you like Danny?" Niall asked as they played.

"I not like D." She mumbled.

"Why don't you like him?"

"D be mean to my mummy, and yell lots..." she stopped there and went back to her dolls.

"Do you still wear nappies sweetheart?" Niall asked and she nodded. "Does Danny change your nappy?"

"Sometimes. Sometimes when I not even go!" She sucked her dummy a little harder. She didn't like it when Danny changed her.

"Yeah? Does he change you like mummy and daddy do? Or does he take longer?" Niall asked being the Ken barbie, so Athena could be barbie.

"Yeah, take foreva." She nodded.

"Does he touch you sweetheart?" Niall finally asked and she nodded just a little. She was always taught not to lie, and she didn't understand that this was going to have Danny in deep shit.

Niall helped Liam put the kids to bed. They both sat in Liam's bed, Liam crying some as Niall tried to comfort him. "Where do they live?" Niall asked softly.

"D-Don't do anything stupid." Liam whispered and nuzzles his nose in Niall's neck. "Don't leave." He sobbed not sure how to deal with the anger and hatred he felt right then.

"Ssh. Lie down sweetheart. I've got you." Niall mumbled tucking Liam under the covers and he slipped underneath it with him. "Get some sleep, we'll figure everything out in the morning."

In the morning, Niall got up with Athena and Persephone. He helped them get ready for the morning whilst he let Liam sleep. As he'd had a rough night. Niall just held him. The entire night whilst he just fell apart.

"NiNi, we hungy." Athena said raising her arms. Niall picked her up along with Persephone.

"Well lets see whats to cook for you two lovely ladies." Niall smiled kissing each of their cheeks, taking them into the kitchen. Niall made some sort of pancake thing with hash and the girls didn't really like them [Niall was a horrid cook] but they choked them down.

"I miss mummy." Persephone mumbled after she was done.

"Well sweetheart, I think we may go see your mum today." Niall said cleaning her up a bit. "Your daddy and I have to have a talk with Danny."
