Chapter 12

Two weeks after, Niall showed up on the doorstep. A bouquet of white roses in his left hand and two little sleek black boxes in his right. He kicked the door gently with his shoes and chuckled softly smiling. "One second!" Niall heard Liam, the girls were squealing and you could hear them running around.

Liam opened the door and gasped seeing Niall. Niall held out the flowers too him and smiled. "These are for you my love." He smiled and held up his other hand. "And these are for the girls."

"Niall..." Liam smiled. "You hadn't... had to get any of us anything."

"I wanted to dear, now may I come in?" Liam nodded letting his boyfriend in.

"Girls!" Liam shouted closing the door, smiling at his flowers as he went to grab a vase. Niall picked up some of the magazines off the ground, he knew they were Sophia's. Liam wasn't into this art thing, Liam would have geographic magazines everywhere or anything greek.

"Whaaaaat?" Persephone whined walking into the room, with Athena behind her.

"Someone's here to see you guys." Liam smiled filling the vase a bit with water. He snipped the end of each rose and placed them down in the vase. Athena looked up and giggled sucking harshly on her dummy. She waved at Niall and Niall waved back smiling.

"Hey girls." Niall smiled and they both swarmed his thighs. Hugging tightly as it'd been a long time since they'd seen NiNi.

"Hi!" Persephone giggled and smiled. Niall sat on the couch, pulling them both up into his lap. One on each knee.

"Heya puddin cup, how ya doing?" Niall asked setting the boxes beside him on the couch.

"I'm good, I started school! Lots of girls got folders with you and Harry on it." She giggled softly smiling.

"Yeah? Well what's so cool about that?" Niall chuckled softly smiling. She shrugged and smiled kissing Niall on the cheek.

"I missed you."

"Well I missed you too darling." Niall smiled and kissed her nose. Athena looked at her father watching them and just giggled. "And I missed you too, Bambi," Niall kissed Athena's cheek a few times. Athena just giggled. Niall called her Bambi because she had big brown eyes, like Bambi the deer.

"Missed NiNi." She nodded and giggled as Niall tickled her sides some.

"Well NiNi brought you two some gifts. Would you like to see them?" Niall asked and both of the girls squealed nodding.

Niall smiled and grabbed the boxes, peeking into one to make sure it had the right symbol on it before he gave them to the girls. Persephone got a little bat necklace made of black onyx stone. [As an animal symbol of Persephone was a bat and a gemstone was black onyx] and Athena's was an owl made of little ivory bits. [As Athena's symbol was an owl and also ivory]

"Niall.." Liam whispered once he saw how beautiful, -most likely expensive- the necklaces were.

"Don't say a word." Niall smiled. Both of the girls squealed thanking Niall hugging him tight. "Here, lemme put them on you guys yeah?" He said softly and Persephone nodded wiggling out of his lap to stand so he could fasten the necklace on her. Athena went after.

"Dadvy wook!" Athena giggled pointing at her necklace.

"It's beautiful kitten." Liam responded baffled as Niall bought them those. He was just so shocked and happy. "You have to be careful not to break them."

"I'm not taking mine off! Niall said I didn't have to!" Persephone squealed and smiled.

Liam only nodded.

Once Liam and Niall had gotten them settled down with bedtime stories and all, Sophia came in. She just riled them all up again, having to show mummy the necklaces that NiNi bought them. "See. I told you I knew a little bit." Niall chuckled softly smiling.

They'd been getting ready to crawl in bed, together, the first time they'd actually be "sleeping" instead of "crying and thrashing"

"I know you're smart but I didn't think you knew much about mythology." Liam chuckled and they snuggled up under the blankets.

"I'm not that smart, I've got a smartphone." Niall chuckled kissing Liam's forehead. His arms wrapped securely around the older man as he cuddled against his chest.

"They loved them still." Liam whispered. Niall played with his hair gently.

"I'm glad, did you like your flowers?" Niall asked softly.

"Yeah, I loved them."

"I was hoping you weren't allergic," Niall chuckled softly. "I didn't wanna ask because then it wouldn't have been a surprise." Niall chuckled softly.

"I'm not allergic, roses are my favourite." Liam admitted shyly and blushed some. Niall only chuckled.

"Well that's good, back home, my mum grows roses in her garden and they're the prettiest things you'll ever see. You'll have to see them." Niall rubbed his back gently. "I could pick one, and we can put it in your hair. It'd look cute right behind your ear." Niall smiled moving his fingers through Liam's hair. "Maybe we'll just whip together a flower crown. I use to make them when I was in secondary school."

Liam just listened and nodded that the end, when Niall asked 'hows that sound?'

Liam and Niall were tangled up with one another when Athena poked her head into the room. "Daddy?"

"Yes sweetheart?"

"Mummy snoring." She whined and Niall just chuckled.

"C'mon sweetie." Liam said softly and smiled pulling the covers back. Niall was wearing a pair of green lantern boxers with a shirt to match. Liam loved it, Athena climbed up in bed, settling between them and giggled when they both squished her into a cuddle.

"Love daddy and NiNi." Athena mumbled wrinkling her nose up. They all snuggled closer and Liam rubbed her tummy, whilst Niall twisted a strand of her hair between his fingers.

"We love you too Bambi." Niall whispered and she smiled contently. Liam smiled kissing Athena's head gently. She loved this family way better than when Ed was here.

I'll probably begin writing FMBTO,FYBTS again soon as I've finished the outline.
I'm working on mapping HLP now xD
