XIII: DIAZO

Chapter 13

It was dark already but Zion, Trunk and TG haven't returned yet from finding Sylph who was now around. So, we decided to find them. We stayed in one group. We feel quite safe walking at night since there were no attacks but we can't be so confident. We aren't using flashlights as usual that made more difficult to wander around. We only depend on the dim of light from the moon. Since, the trees were covering the area that made it quite darker.

I knew they were friends but I can see the pressure between Sylph and Cava. We don't know what's happening between the two.

"It's getting cold, wear this," Tyler said while giving me a white hoodie jacket.

"Thanks ty,," I said while wearing it. He also stopped walking. He's waiting for me to be done putting on the jacket. Vein and Cava was at the end of the trail but when we stopped a bit, they were already ahead of us.

"Are you sure about what you told us honey?," Tyler asked. I looked at him at disbelief but I know he can't see my facial reactions. I can't believe he doubted me if I'm telling the truth.

"Yah ty, you heard it right. An enemy was inside the group," I said then walked ahead of him. He followed me so we walked slower so we could have a little private conversation.

"Hey,, are you mad?. What I mean was do you think it was Sylph? I don't believe its her," said Tyler. I also thought of that. But if it wasn't her? I can't figure out who among Zion and Cava is the killer.

"Who do you think is the enemy then?," I asked him while we were walking slowly at the end. I could see Cava glancing back towards me who was few walks behind her. We made slower our pace so that they couldn't certainly hear us.

"I think it's Zion. She's a bit weird sometimes. But I'm not sure. I was keeping an eye on her lately," he said.

Zion was a bit weird, I agree on that. But I've never been suspicious of her if Tyler did not tell me about him keeping an eye on her. Maybe it was because Zion looks so good and fragile after what happened on her boyfriend and her best friends. They were all killed. But I once caught her dark aura when she was with Cava alone. I heard a name Zilch. That was what Sylph use to call Cava lately. There should be something wrong about this but its hard to figure out. It's like answering a Spanish question when all you know is English. There's something about the three, and whatever it is, I know there's something wrong about it.

"I was suspicious of her when she told us that five men were trying to kill them. How did she manage to survive that? And now, two of our mates were gone with her. The danger was always with her. There should be something wicked about it," he said. I started to doubt Zion now, but I had suspicions about Cava too.
    We were walking  for three  hours finding Zion's group but we aren't that lucky to find them. We decided to rest a bit. We could feel the serenity if the surrounding that eased our negative feelings of this moment.
   "Where are you going Vena?"I heard Vein asking Cava." Call of nature," Cava simply answered."Are you going with me? she asked her boyfriend  but Sylph stood up and volunteered to be with her. The two went their way and we advices  them not to go far from us. But, I'm  not comfortable by the fact that Sylph and Cava were together. While waiting for the two to come back  we started sharing about our lives outside the mountain. It started up with Vein. He was a sideline  model of a local agency. But he worked as a manager at a well-known coffee shop. He said he wasn't that famous and only a local agency  was handling him. But I knew if he would be discovered, he'll surely be known all over asia.
     "You should have focused on your modeling career," I suggested but he schooled his head.
        "I love my work at the shop. Besides, I want it there.I have shared a lot of memories with Vena there,"he smilingly said like he was reminiscing the past with Vena.
       " You surely is inlove with her," Tyler said and they began exchanging words about love. So cheesy. I can't  believe I am listening to a boy's talk now. I was  just smiling while looking at them. Boys can be chatty too. They talked about girls like a girl wasn't listening to them.I also  learned that Vena and Vein only meet 3 months ago.I thought they were in a relationship for years already. The countings  wont really  matter.I can see the fiery live they have each other for a 3 month old relationship.
      "How do we know that we love that girl? Does it mean we got to think of that person every ninght?"Kryx asked  like he was infant when it  comes to that matter.
    "I mean, if you want to protect her though you aren't sure  if you're doing the right thing or not , does it mean you already love that person? "he added and by that I knew who  he was referring to. It was Sylph. I can sense something on the way he looks at her. It must been hard for him when I told them about my suspicion about Sylph.He was indenial   and  he won't believe  that Sylph was really one if the killer but his mind  was telling  the opposite. I know his mind was battling right now.Tyler  was about to answer him  but I answered first.
     "If you believe her , knowing the evidences against her. If you want to protect her  though you know it was wrong. That us love, Kryx,"I told him.I want to help him know if he really love Sylph.And speaking if them, why aren't they here yet.I excused myself from their cheesy talk. Tyler insisted to go with me but assure him that I would only see for Sylph and Cava and that nothing bad would happen on me. He was reluctant at first but I convinced him to stay.
     I went to the direction where Sylph and Cava take.When I got a little far from Tyler. I heard someone fighting. They can't be Sylph and Cava. I went near it and to my shock , u saw Sylph strangling Cava. What was she doing.
     "Help! Help! Sylph is going to kill me! Help!,"Cava shouted, asking for help. Oh my Ghod! I knew it! Sylph was really one of the killer.
     " Shout up!  Will  you!?" Sylph replied.She was trying to stop Cava from shouting.
    " Help me please! Help! Sylph is going to kill me!"Cava shouted again and she was already crying. I didn't wait for more to happen . I went to them and kicked Sylph. She stumbled on the grasses away from Cava.
      " What are you doing Sylph? Are you trying to kill,Cava?"I asked though the answer was obvious." It's not what you think , okay? I'm not going to kill her. I just want her to come with  me senses ,-"
Sylph tried to explain but Cava cut her words.Cava looked so afraid from Sylph.
  "Don't listen to her. S...she a killer.S -she wanted to kill me," Cava said while crying. 
   "If you didn't come,I would surely be dead now.Thank you, Diazo " she said between her sobs. " Oh! God? Such a great actress ,"I heard Sylph exclaimed. I stared at Sylph, was she going nuts. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Sylph asked me. The surrounding was dark, I didn't know how she knew I'm staring at her.I can see that Sylph was frustrated too. "I'm telling the truth. I just want her to confess who she really is, Diazo. She's not Vena Cava. She's our enemy. She lied to us -,' Sylph.
  "No, D...diazo. She's lying. You saw it. She's capable of killing. She wasn't afraid of getting lives form a defenseless like me," Cava defended. A second later the boys arrived. They  may have heard  Cava asking for help.
   " What happened here?," Vein asked while comforting Cava. Cava hugged him while crying. She looks so angelic , how could Sylph do this to her. She was merciless. "She tried to kill me ,Vein.  Diazo was right on her suspicious.Sylph was the sister of the killer. She wanted to kill me,"Cava told Vein.
   " Is it true, Sylph?"Kryx asked while Tyler remained silent  while hugging me." Of course!, I  just want to convince her to tell us the truth-,"
  " And what truth it is that you need to strangle her by her neck. Now tell us that you're  not trying to kill her,  Sylph?"I  interfered.
   "If I tell you why ?, Will you change your judgements about me?,...No! You won't ! I cansee that you already accused me. I knew  what's running  on your minds now. That I was the killer. But I'll tell you though you won't believe me. I am not! It was -"Sylph said. She was right. What ever she'll say, we already  had our judgements.But, she  can't blame us .....she can't blame me. What I saw was enough. We can hardly believe her words now.
    " She was lying. You all don't know  how devil she is. She have no mercy,' Cava interrupted her.
    " Really Zilch?," Sylph said. Was she calling Cava, Zilch? "Then why won't  you finish  my words, first. Are you afraid of  your own dark secrets?," Sylph said pissing Cava.Then  she started to explain. She told us everything about Zion and Cava. She said Cava's real name was Zilch and she was the sister of Zion. We were shocked of what we heard but my mind is battling if I were to believe her or not. And, what shocked me most when she told us that Zion was the killer of the murder that happened to the three. We can hardly believe it. They were Zion's  bestfriend and her boyfriend, Zion could not  kill them.
  "That's too much accusation, Sylph," I said. She must be making stories now like she always do for us to believe her. But,it's too late now. I caught her on my eyes.
   " Too much?! really, Diazo," Sylph exclaimed with frustration on her voice." What's too much than your accusations to me?" She said and anger was shown on her voice. I was silent for a moment. I knew I had accused her but I was right on it.
   " I want to hit you now Sylph for what you did to my girlfriend. You should be thankful that you're a girl. But if you'll tell nonsense words about her again. I wont be this good to you," Vein warning Sylph. "Cava can't do what you were saying. Your lying," he added. I can see that Sylph can't believe  on our reactions.
  "Why aren't you believing me? She's not Cava you know!?" Sylph shouted with too much frustration." Coz you're a liar !! You're a killer! You even tried to kill me,"Cava replied ,her voice became  sad for the last sentence." We cannot trust her with us , she should be dead before she could kill anyone of us here ," Cava said that made me shocked. We could not kill her  just by that but Cava had a point. If she'll continue staying with us , she must have another victim. W won't let that happen.
    " You cannot judge Sylph by that.We don't know who's lying between the two," Kryx defended her. " Sylph and Cava are both saying different stories, we can't be one - sided this time, "  Kryx
added.
   " But I saw her , she's really trying to kill Cava," I said.
    "Honey ,what if  Sylph was trying to tell us the truth-" Tyler said but he was stopped when Cava inserted. She was pissed when Tyler defended Sylph.
      "  I was telling the truth. But if you believe Sylph than me , I'd choose to leave.If Sylph won't leave and if you all  let her stay with us , I'll  leave. I knew I'm not safe her ," Cava said emotionally and she started to cry again.  
   "Tsss..... Fine, If you think  I'm the danger, I'll leave. I know you all. And what ever I'll say you won't believe  me. I was just trying to help you ," she said and then she walk back  to where we stopped." She must getting her bag. We followed her.  
     "We cannot just let her leave guys! She's dangerous!," Cava  exclaimed. Was she really serious when she said that we should kill Sylph. She's so hysterical of getting rid about Sylph. 
     " Then what? We will kill her, Cava? The words that came out from your mouth are words of a killer," Kryx said that made Cava stop.
  " Don't speak to her like that Kryx , She was just  afraid after Sylph tried on killing her,"Vein defended Cava. When we got back to our staying place , Sylph was already carrying  her bag. Already to go. She walk passed beside me but whispered me something.  

"I'm not the sister of a killer, Miss Diazo Varga. I will forgive you for your judgements towards me but I would never forgive you for what happened on my brother because of you. Do you still remember him? Tss... I guess you don't. What do I expect? But to remind you, he's Seth Zechins. And he died because of you." Sylph said but she made sure nobody else heard than me.

I was so shocked that I weren't able to digest directly what she just told me. I was already shocked when she mentioned my name. I never told anyone about my surname. She really know me from the start. But when she told me about Seth, I didn't realize my tears were already flowing from my cheeks. My heart was hammered a thousand times than what I felt when Seth left me 5 years ago. Seth's dead? But why... And why does Sylph blame me...  Seth left me, I didn't kill him.

And I was oblivious of what's  happening. I was in fault?? Seth's dead? No,, I know they were rife with Sarah..

"No,,, no,, he can't be dead. No,.. it's not true.. No,, no,, she's lying.. no.," I muttered with tears flowing. I looked at Sylph who's already walking away. I wanted to stop her... but I was stocked on place. I don't know what to do. I knew I have to stop her. She's innocent and I've been so harsh on her. I was so ashamed of her. And broken at the same time. I knew it,, she's Seth's sister. But, I didn't mind it at first and that was really a mistake. Now, I know I should do the right thing now. But I felt like my energy was drained. Before I knew it, Sylph had already left.

Kryx was about to leave to. He wanted to follow Sylph. I just stared at him. He's doing the right thing. So, I didn't bother on stopping him.

A/N: Oh poor Sylph😂 Why did you blame her Diazo😒😒?? I hate you!!😂😂 charrot I just wanna show that they have imperfections too like us. They can commit mistakes too. We aren't perfect. Stay tuned for the next chapter, I'll give you Sylph for the first time.
