The Bloody Mountain

IV: TYLER

I was holding Diazo's hand when I felt her stiffened. I looked at what she was looking. It was a cross, like someone was buried on it. It was the same cross we found in cemeteries but it was made of wood. We had just started our journey with the tour guide leading the way. I was carrying my knapsack with some important items, some of them were Diazo's. She was also carrying her bag but I made sure it was lighter. She won't let me bring hers.

She was wearing a white v-neck paired with her black pants and black sports shoes. Her hair was on pony tail. She was being simple but it didn't lessen her beauty. In fact, I found her more gorgeous even when she's in her simple attire. She may not be the most beautiful woman in this world but in my eyes, she is. And she's the only woman I love.

"Honey, dont mind that. Maybe there were mountaineers who had some fun playing weird games," I said trying to comfort her for she seemed to be afraid of the cross and shocked. But, she shooked her head and I guess she was about to cry.

"That.... necklace.." she said as I let her face me while holding her cheeks. Then I looked at what she was staring. She was right there's a necklace on the cross. So I went near the cross and picked the silver necklace hanging on it. It has a good design with a letter S as a pendant. What's with this necklace that Diazo seemed to be very emotional. It may be important to her.

"That.. n..necklace. It was the same as the necklace I gave to S---" she said but I didn't let her finish her sentence.

"Shh.. don't think of it honey, there were a lot of similar necklaces in this world," I cut her sentence since I don't want her to be thinking of that necklace again. I put it again on the cross and guide her to continue walking.

"Let's go now. We were already in the  end of the trail". I said since I noticed that we were already behind. I kissed her forehead and started walking while holding her hand.

I didn't feel pain when she thinks of Seth again because of that necklace. Well, I knew i was hurt. There's always pang in my heart but I don't feel it anymore since I got used of being hurt. I couldn't think of any other person she would possibly gave thAt necklace other than Seth... or maybe Sarah. But I don't wanna know that's why I cut her sentence. I was on her side but she was thinking of other man. It was me who she sees but I felt like she was seeing Seth, not me. I pretend to be alright in front of her but deep inside I was bleeding. I was her boyfriend but I don't feel that she treated like one. I was jealous of a person who weren't even around. But I don't blame her and I don't regret falling for her.

I first met her at a bar. I saw her drunk with some drunkard maniacs around her and that time i knew I should do something. And I did. I felt like a hero that time but she ignored me. She didn't even thank me for saving her. I was always persistent in entering her life. She was the only woman who never notice me. Many girls would die trying to be my girlfriend but she was different. My charm have no effect on her. I couldn't accept that at first. I wanted to get her, but when I knew her story, I felt something and I know it wasn't pity. It was love though I know I felt something already when I first met her.  Since that day, I promised to protect her, to love her and to be always with her even it means to be another character.

I know I wasn't the king of her life,, but I'll promise to always be her knight. For I know a queen doesn't only need a king, specially when the king  takes another queen on his palace. The queen needs a knight, who will always protect her when the king can't.

I became more in loved on her each day though she only treated me as a plain friend. I just feel special when she started to entrust me her story knowing how hard it is for her to trust someone after what Sarah did on her. We became friends for three long years. And I've been stopping myself from wanting her, wanting to kiss her and to own her. I was always tempted to, but I can't afford to lose her that's why I never confessed my feelings towards her.
