The Unexpected// Why Don't We

Part 22.

Ellen's POV:

I was just talking to Kitty in the Kitchen and when Joel left a look of realisation came over her. "You alright?" I asked

"Yeah, it's just-" She paused and looked around making sure Joel wasn't around, "He really likes you Ellen... like I thought he wasn't even capable of falling for anyone but I think he has fallen for you" When she said this I was so shocked like JOEL LIKES ME!

I kind of just stood there and stared at her for a bit, I didn't say anything. "Really?" I asked

"Yeah pretty positive" she replied

"Are you sure" I asked

"Yes he told me" She said "But I know that you like Daniel so I won't interfere but I think you should talk to Joel" She added

"I know I've been meaning to talk to him but I just don't know what to say" I said

"Just tell him that you like Daniel and that you don't feel the same way towards him, I'm sure he will get over it" Kitty said

"Ok" I said

"Anyway Corbyn is picking me up in like 15mins because we are going out for lunch so you can do it then" Kitty said with a grin

"Cute" I said smiling and walking out of the kitchen

I went into my room and decided to change into my clothes because I was still currently wearing Daniel's. His hoodie was very comfy and I don't plan on giving it back to him (HEHE). I picked out some clothes from my wardrobe and threw them on my bed, I decided I wanted a shower so I went into my bathroom and got into the shower. I was in there for about 45mins (which is quite a while for me) and then I went back into my room. I changed into the clothes that I left on bed and then went to put some makeup on. As I sat at my vanity I got a text from Daniel.

Hey Ellen, I know I saw you this morning but I have a question?

Hey is everything ok?

Yeah everything Is great I just
need someone to do some
Coachella shopping with me x

Yes me please. Xx

Can I pick you up in half
an hour? X

I then put on some make up and changed my outfit because the one I was wearing before was not good enough for Daniel. 

when I was ready I left my room and saw Joel on the sofa I went and sat with him because I thought now would be the perfect time to talk to him, seeing as Kitty was out and if it got awkward then it was ok because I was leaving soon.

"Hey Joel, can we talk?" I asked 

"Yeah sure" he said looking up at me 

I sat down next to him, I had no idea what I was going to sat right now 

"Um... so I don't know how you really feel about me but I just need to tell you that I don't think anything is going to happen-" I was cut off by him

"Listen Ellen before you say anything I just wanted to let you know that I really do like you and I know you like Daniel but think about it, you have liked me for so long and you can't act like nothing has happened between us" He said 

"Yeah but you were just a childhood crush, Kitty would never approve of us and Daniel makes me happy and I just really like him Joel, I'm so sorry." I said
