It's my first time inside their dorm. It does have a feminine aura. Their dorm is cleaner than ours but they have a lot of random stuff on random places. As I was looking around, I saw Jisoo-noona walking towards me. "Hey kid, what do you want? Coffee? Tea? Water?"
"Just water noona. Thank you." I said. "Water, coming up." She said and walks to the kitchen. Jennie sat next to me. I look at her while she's texting somebody. Maybe she's texting him. "Here's your water kid. I want to wait for our manager with you but I'm really sleepy so I'll go ahead." Jisoo-noona said. She winks at Jennie and scoots her way out. Silence fills the room. I drink water. I check my phone to decrease the awkwardness. It's already 1:30 am. I have to wake up at 10 am tomorrow.
"Hanbin, thank you for earlier," Jennie said while looking down.
"It was nothing." I miss your voice. God knows I miss your voice.
"The message that I sent to you today or yesterday, I have no intention of sending it." If she didn't send it, I will not know that she's already dating someone.
"Why?" I asked curiously.
"Because I know you're just gonna ignore it." Her words sting. She knows that I've been ignoring her.
"Hanbin, even if we're not that close anymore I'm still looking out for you. I don't know what happened but I hope you'll be okay soon. Please take care of your body, pay attention to your emotion and look out your mental health." She's mouthing a lot of words but none of them mattered. All I have in my head right now is the fact that she's dating him.
"Your dating Kai-sunbaenim?" I blurted out. Fck. I feel impatient. I looked at her and she's looking at me too. She looks away and plays with her hands. She's nervous.
"I am."
"For how long?" I.cant.stop.asking.her.
"Months"
"Why?" She chuckles.
"What do you mean why?" I look at her eyes. Damn those beautiful eyes. This is not funny. This is unfair. Stop smiling because of him.
"He's good to me. I am lucky to be with him." Stop. Stop saying that to me. Lie to me. This time, please lie to me. I sighed and looked away.
"You look happy."
"I am happy." She said while smiling from ear to ear. Your smile is my favorite. What a beautiful sight. But you're smiling not because of me, it's because of him. This view right here, I'm gonna remember this. This is the moment I lose a battle I wasn't even fighting. This moment right where she's smiling to me but I'm not the reason; this moment is something I will regret for the rest of my life. I looked away from her. I let out a few deep breaths. I can't look at her for too long. My heart swells. At the end of the day, you're still a coward Hanbin. I reached out her hand and hold on to it. I caress her thumb. She looks confused, so am I because I don't know what I'm doing either.
"Jen, I..." I want to confess, I want her to know how much I missed her. I want her to know much I wanted to kiss her right here, right now. God knows how much I want her. But God forbids, she isn't mine to keep. She isn't mine to kiss. And I am not a jerk. She's someone else's. I need to respect the man's courage that takes her. I gather myself again. I forced myself to smile and I---
"I'm happy for you, Jen," I admitted defeat. I accepted the fate to play as her friend once again. She smiled at me finally it's because of what I said. She pulls me in for a hug and I lost it and just savour the moment. A consolation prize for a poor soldier. I break free from the hug because I already admitted defeat and hugging her for another minute is suicide. "Your scent is still the same." she breaks the ice. "You're sniffing me? What are you a dog?" she just laughs. Those chubby cheeks of her will be the death of me.

"I saw what you posted earlier in your Instagram. You look dumb posing like that." She giggles. She's talking about the picture where I'm holding three trophies.
"I save you today you know and you're saying I look dumb while doing my signature pose? You ungrateful mandu." She laughs again. She's laughing way too much that she's even tearing up.
"Hey, I held my tongue earlier because I thought you look like Barney wearing that purple jacket." She enjoys teasing me. This girl.
"Wait for a diss track Jen, you hear me? You're dissing my beauty and now you're dissing my fashion sense?"She's laughing like there's no tomorrow.
We heard a knock and when I open the door I saw her manager. We explained to him what happened and he sent an email to Sajangnim, our boss. Her manager leaves right away to settle other conflicts. Being a manager is a struggle.
"Jen, I'll go ahead. Goodnight." I said to her. I was about to open the door when she said.
"Wait, Jack Frost." I look at her and to my surprise, she's standing next to me. She's way too near. She needs to step backward.
"What?" I asked and play it cool. I'm Kim Hanbin and I'm a cool guy. Yup.
"Please stop being a dramatic ice queen. You're not Elsa. Stop ignoring me and let's be friends again." She said. She extends her hand and I took it.
"Stop calling me Elsa and maybe I'll consider being your friend again." She rolls her eyes. I took that chance to go out of their dorm. I can't bear to be in an enclosed room with her. It's dangerous not for me but for her. I'm the dangerous one here. If I stay one more minute, I'll forget that I admitted defeat. Goodnight to you, my muse.
