Today is December 19, 2018. iKON and Blackpink have been pretty busy with their schedule. If it's possible to extend the 24-hour clock they will surely take advantage of that. Both groups have been summoned in the meeting room shortly after their supposedly 30 minutes break. All are exhausted and sleepy but they need to pay attention because they heard that the CEO will also attend the meeting.
Blackpink enters the room with their manager. iKON is already there when they entered. They were sitting in the board room waiting for their bosses.
They are seated apart and bowed at each other. They're somehow curious what is it about because they have no idea why iKON and Blacpink are summoned together. The CEO and other relatively important people entered the room. Everyone bowed and paid respect to them.
"Sajangnim, do you need coffee or plain tea?" One of the staff asks. YG just shakes his head.
"I know you all have a tight schedule so we'll make this quick," YG said.
"I'm pretty sure some of you heard rumors that our company is going to debut boy-girl group. It is true." Everyone excluding the managers was shocked. They all shift their eyes towards Chanwoo who is now smirking to himself and mouthed "resources". Lisa is irritated to see Chanwoo smirking.
"That's why I summoned you all here today. Because we need to discuss the details about the boy-girl group. The committee board is also here to tackle their part."
"So, all of you are seniors now. I know I have embedded rules to divide you two and not let you be seen together publicly. But we need to CHANGE that."
"I hereby allow you to interact publicly for publicity. I need news that iKON and Blackpink are close friends in real life. That's the goal. Next, we have Nami to discuss your future promotions and gigs that will be added in your schedule." Things couldn't be more confusing and ironic. The girl's mind is hazy right now. They couldn't completely comprehend what's happening. He just announce that they are debuting new group and now they are going to discuss "promotion that will be added on THEIR schedule?" The boys are lost too. They're still grasping every words and detail.
"Hi guys, for those who don't know me, I'm Nami Young. I'm one of the co-producer of the secret file that now we are unfolding. I'm also part of the advertising committee, and I have previously worked with some of you like Jennie and Lisa. But I'm here today to discuss your future promotion or as let's call it propaganda to gain public interest."
" You all are going to attend variety shows together. You will be in a magazine photoshoot and have commercials together." One of the staff is discussing the promotion they will do together. She mentions the variety shows that's showing interest in them.
"In regards to the variety show, we're still discussing what will be the best that can showcase both group charms. But we're open to taking opinions if there's a variety show you want to attend." She continues.
"About the magazine, we still have to unite your schedules together but we already have contracts ready for you to sign. The commercials, we're still in the process of sorting brands that will help maintain a good image.." Nami goes on and on about specific details about the said promotions they will have and do in the future. However, both group couldn't still understand the reason why they need the said promotion in line with debuting the boy-girl group. Lisa's mind was like "Am I that dumb but I don't find the correlation about us getting promoted together and our company debuting a new group." Rose is trying to understand the situation but she's confused as to why they weren't served beverages or snack. Usually, when there's a meeting it will be served the moment they started the meeting. Jisoo's mind is preoccupied with something else but she's trying to understand what's happening. Jennie is slowly trying to figure out and connect everything that has been relayed to them. She already has a hint but this time she couldnt trust her deduction because it's simply impossible and nowhere practical.
"Little by little we will give people impressions or signs that we are getting you ready for your debut," YG added to Nami's long list of plans.
"Huh? What? What debut Sajangnim? Sorry, I'm confused." Hanbin inserts. Everyone is as confused as Hanbin so they were thankful that he's brave enough to speak up.
"I previously mentioned that we're going to debut boy-girl group that's why I summoned you all here. What's confusing about that?"
"No- I- us and Blackpink will debut in one group? Why?" Hanbin perplexingly asks.
"I thought that we will be guest judges or mentors of the new group. We didn't expect to be the one who is debuting," Junhoe added. He is excited about the idea of him mentoring someone or being a guest judge of a survival program. But now he heard that he will be debuting again? "How stressful." He thought.
"No. Let me correct myself it's not a debut but more of a collaboration of iKON and Blackpink. You all are pretty established yourself so we just need noise and publicity to make sure this collaboration will work." YG answers.
