"Hello, Jack Frost why are you calling?" Jennie said.
"Where are you right now? Can you come here?"
"Huh? What do you mean come? I'm at the dorm. Where are you?"
"I'm in the office, at the recording studio to be exact."
"And why do you want me to go there?"
"Because I know you're longing to see my beauty."
"I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I'm not longing and I'm not interested to see your gorilla-like beauty." Hanbin laughs and Jennie smiles hearing him laugh.
"But really, what is it about that you want me to go there?"
"Nothing. I just wanna know if you're okay."
"I am okay." Jennie lies to him. But it's not gonna harm him knowing that she just lied.
"Okay. But I wanna make sure that you're okay that's why I wanted to see you."
"You know it's already 10 pm and you want me to go there. Wait. It's already 10 PM WHY ARE YOU STILL THERE? GO HOME AND REST." Jennie hears a loud laugh from Hanbin. He's definitely a hardworking guy that it's annoying me.
"Stop laughing, pack your things and go home kid."
"Alright, alright. Bye Jen."
"Bye. Be careful on the way home."
"I will." She quickly ended the call. She's frustrated to hear that he's still in the office and the fact that he's on the recording studio means he's working on something.
Jennie takes a shower and put on comfortable pajamas. She's drying her hair with a blower and while munching a cookie. She receives a text from Jisoo.
"Mandu, I'll be really late today. Please don't wait for me. Go ahead and rest." Jennie frowns to read Jisoo's message. She's typing her reply and munching another cookie.
"Heool, unnie what time will you be back? I'm scared to be alone." She replied back. She hates staying at the dorm and being alone.
"The director is killing me so by the looks of it I'll be there at exactly 4 am. Lisa and Chaeng said they'll be late too. Did you eat already? Don't starve yourself. Pleasuuu survive till I get home. 😤"
"I will unnie. I miss you already. Can I sleep on your bed?" Jennie requests. She feels safe in Jisoo's bed. She has a habit of sleeping on Jisoo's bed whenever she's feeling down or extremely happy.
"Mandu you have your own bed. But whatever makes you happy. Goodnight." Jisoo gives up on claiming her bed. She will not win anyway.
"Goodnight unnie."
She's didn't receive a text anymore so she let go of her cellphone and starts to dry her hair again. She halts what she's doing when she hears a percussive sound. It's not that loud but it's audible. She turns off the blower and hugs herself. She's alone in the dorm so she's scared to know where the sounds came from.
Their dorm is known to have an eerie ambiance. She never had a terrifying experience herself but she always hears it from Lisa who oddly experienced it all the time.
She hears a loud thud that makes her heart jumps. She's in her room and she's too scared to speak and to know what the noise is all about. Suddenly she hears a sound like a person dragging his or her feet and walking around.
She's on her bed and silently going down to check where the noise is coming. She suddenly heard a knock on the door and she falls on the ground. She curses and groans when she feels the pain on her hips.
"Jennie, it's me." She hears the voice of a man. She hurriedly checks herself on the mirror and takes a peek on the person behind the door. She's surprised to see the man.
"Why are you here?"
"Huh? Didn't Bokyung-hyung tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
"That I'll come over here."
"He didn't, obviously. Anyway, come in Hanbin." Hanbin intrudes. He can't help but notice what Jennie's wearing. He looks away quickly when he saw how thin her clothes are. He gulps and shifts his attention to the food he bought earlier.
They went inside and Jennie notices what Hanbin's holding.
"What is it?" Jennie asks. she's taken interest on what he's holding because she can smell the food.
"It's food for you and for me." She notices Hanbin is not looking at her. She's weirded by his actions.
"Really? Thank God. I'm starving. Should I set the table? Or is it okay if we eat here in the living room?"
"It's okay to just eat here. We will clean it up right after. But it's better if you wear something to cover your skin first." She's confused to hear his statement. What does he mean? I'm wearing pajamas. She thought to herself.
"I'm fully covered, sir. What do you mean?"
"The cloth is too thin. Go ahead and change it. I'll wait for you." He said still not looking at her. She rolls her eyes and wants to argue but she's already starving that's why she concedes.
"Fine." Hanbin finally lets out a deep breath. This girl doesn't know she's killing me.
