Jennie arrives at Hanbin's studio. She's currently at the door taking a peek at who is inside. 'He's wearing that purple jacket again.' Jennie expresses her thoughts. She knocks but it seems he can't hear her due to the loud sound from the speaker. He's already playing the demo.
She invites herself in and observes him silently. She sits on the couch near the door behind Hanbin's back. She watches him scratching his head. Playing with his pencil. Playing the demo over and over again. He looks at his phone, checks the time. Play the demo again. He pouts, stands up, and stretches his arms.
'Uh-huh. Oh yeah. Looks like he is stuck.'
After a while, Jennie seems taken aback by Hanbin. He is slowly lifting the hem of his jacket over his head. Not knowing there's a woman behind him. Jennie slides down to the couch she's sitting and covering her face with her hands.
"Yah! Kim Hanbin, what are you doing?" The coward, scaredy-cat of iKON jumps from where he is standing, knocking over the table with his knee. Falling over on the floor holding his knee preventing the pain to crawl while his jacket is over his head. Showing his exposed abdomen.
Jennie jolts and helps Hanbin who is crouching on the floor. She is helping him to stand up while trying to hold herself from bursting out a laugh.
"Let me help you." She said. She reaches out to him. He's now sitting on the floor breathing in and out, slightly looking at his side where Jennie is. She finally gave up and let out the biggest laugh ever. She's hysterically laughing and pounding the floor with her hands.
He stares at her and shakes his head in disbelief. The aggravating pain on his knee is finally gone. He's trying to pick up himself but her laugh is making him weak. Her laugh is contagious and he's greatly affected by it. The studio is now filled with their laughter. It has been 2 minutes already and they're still out of it. Jennie is wiping her tears from laughing too much and tries to stand up so she can sit on the couch.
Finally, they've come to pick up themselves at a better place.
"What we're you doing? Undressing in your studio? What if someone comes?"
Jennie hisses while trying her best to calm down.
"I have a shirt underneath. I have no plan on getting naked in this cold room. Anyway, can you help me?"
"Help on what? Taking off your jacket?" Jennie said teasingly.
This gives Hanbin an idea.
"Yeah, actually can you help me take off my jacket?"
"You're kidding me right?"
"No. Just hold down the shirt inside while I take off the jacket."
"We are getting nowhere because of this damn jacket. Go. I'll hold it for you."
"Thanks." Hanbin mumbles.
He is once again, lifting his jacket over to his head. He can't help but look at Jennie's reaction. She's looking away while holding his shirt down. She's shutting her eyes, narrowing her eyebrows creating a crease on her forehead. He smirks showing his dimples and ruffles her hair. She attempts to get mad however she knows it will only result in an unproductive scuffle.
After the jacket situation, they're finally back with their business which is completing the song.
"Are you ready?" Hanbin asks looking at her.
"What do you think I'm here for?"
"I don't know? Maybe you're here to--" Before he can complete his sentence, Jennie hurriedly walks over him and sits on a swivel chair.
"Kim Hanbin, stop with your narcissistic comments, please? Let's get it done."
Jennie heard the demo a few times. She already knows what she wants to add. She revises and added some lyrics to the song. Hanbin is on the mixer editing the song. The two become busy. Jennie also records herself for the demo. They've agreed on how they're going to divide the parts for their members.
Jennie receives a message from Jisoo.
"It's already 10pm. Have you eaten?" -Jisoo
Jennie smiles upon reading the message. She takes her time to respond. Hanbin can't help but look at her. Basing on her smile he assumes she receives a message from Kai. His gaze didn't falter.
"It must be good to have someone who takes care of you," Hanbin said while looking at the monitor.
"Yes, it does." She answers. Unaware that he is talking about a different person.
"You've been here for 3 hours already. You've done enough. You can go home if you want."
"Three hours? I didn't notice. That's why Jisoo unnie is asking me if I have eaten already." Confused by her last statement, Hanbin raises his eyebrow and looks at her.
"Jisoo?" He asks. Hiding his amusement by covering half of his face and trying to look emotionless as possible as he can.
"Yes. Jisoo-unnie." Jennie answer nonchalantly.
"Let me treat you to dinner then since you helped me today. What do you wanna eat?" Before she can say no to his invitation he's already at the door waiting for her.
"We can't go out in this building together without causing a disturbance. I'll go by myself or I'll ask one of the managers. So, what do you wanna eat?" Jennie is baffled by his sudden perky attitude. She clears up her mind and thinks of how she can politely refuse. She doesn't want to stay any longer since it's already 10pm but she can't deny her natural desire to satisfy her body needs. Specifically what her stomach desires.
"Anything. I'm starving."
"That doesn't really answer my question. Do you want something sweet? Sour? Spicy or salty?" 'girls and their ambiguity' he thought to himself.
"Good question. I want a combination of sweet, salty, and spicy." That means she's hungry enough that she can eat whatever he buys.
"Okay. Got it. Stay here. Lock the door."
"Why do I have to? I'm safe here."
"You'll never know who's going to barge inside." She wants to argue but she knows it's futile.
"Okay." She said while pouting. Before Hanbin can even take one step out of the room Jennie calls him.
"Hanbin, may I use your computer?" He looks at her. Attempts to respond but he pauses and stares at her blankly.
"Hanbin?"
"Uh, why?"
"I'll be bored. I want to listen to your old demos. Don't worry I will not check your browser history." She chuckles.
"I'm not worried about that. Uh uhmn. Just don't. I don't know. Go." He gives up. He doesn't even know why he is hesitating. What is he afraid of that she will discover?
