♤chapter 19♤

Chan had left a few hours ago and Changbin was beginning to feel lonely again. His thoughts drifted to that of the two pretty boys he had met earlier that week. But he had to distract himself from those thoughts, it would only cause him to cry again. Changbin unlocked his phone, and he saw his call log. His last phone call was from Hyunjin, yesterday. He looked at his phone in confusion before his mind connected the dots. Chan must have talked to him. Oh shit what did they talk about? Changbin slightly panicked. He thought about calling the older back, part of him said yes and the other part told him no. He clicked the call button and held his breath as it dialed.

Hyunjin looked at his phone as it laid on the other side of the couch as he watched a movie. Felix had left to go to work. Curiosity itched at Hyunjin's mind, and he decided to pick up the phone. He read the caller ID and gulped before he answered.

"Hey, what's up?" Hyunjin asked nonchalantly.

"I saw that you called me yesterday, and I was wondering if my friend Chan talked to you," Changbin questioned, still worried what must have happened.

"Yeah, we did talk. It was nothing important though. Actually Chan is an old friend of mine, small world, am I right?"

"Wow, it is a small world," Changbin repeated and ran his hand through his hair, "So why did you call me?"

"Felix and I wanted to talk to you about a few things, but Felix is at work right now," Hyunjin answered.

"I already finished all my finals, so maybe we could hang out?" Changbin asked, hoping the older would say yes.

"I have nothing better to do," Hyunjin replied shrugging, "I'll pick you up in an hour."

"Okay see you then," Changbin hung up.

"Well then, I guess we are going on a date with Changbin," Hyunjin spoke to himself, "I should text Lixie."

hey, changbin called, and we are going to hang out. call me when you're home

Hyunjin was already dressed, he just wanted to eat a bit before he left to get Changbin. He grabbed a banana off the kitchen counter and walked around the house feeling...nervous?

"Hwang why are you nervous it's just a date. You've been on many of those," Hyunjin scolded aloud. For as long as he could remember he had always talked to himself, whether with another identity or not.

~Flashback~

"I'm gonna kick those kids asses for hurting you Hyunjin," the personality fumed as she paced their room.

"Please don't, noona they did nothing wrong," Hyunjin pleaded from the inside.

"I can't let them push you around like that kid," the alter sighed, brushing her hand through Hyunjin's hair.

"Yeseul, they aren't doing anything bad. They are just picking on me," Hyunjin explained sheepishly.

"That's exactly it Jinnie, they are hurting you and me. I have to stop them," Yeseul huffed, she had to be protective of him it's her job.

~End of Flashback + Time Skip~

Hyunjin would be lying if he said that he wasn't having fun with Changbin. The younger was rather funny and charming. He always found a way to cause the older to smile, his presence was a bit refreshing after always having to deal with Felix's stupidity.

They were currently walking through a park, talking about their high school years. Hyunjin didn't go to college, so he wasn't able to talk about that. Hyunjin let Changbin do most of the talking, and when he did talk about his past he mostly lied. Hyunjin had learned a lot about the boy like that he used to play the violin as a kid and wanted to pick it back up as an adult. The two were walking close enough to hold hands, but both decided against it because they were unsure of how the other would react.

"Um, have you ever dated a guy before?" Hyunjin blurted out while Changbin was talking about a time he knocked the punch bowl at his junior year prom on his crush at the time. Changbin looked at him in surprise. He began to fidget with his hands.

"Um, well I-"

"Wait was I the first guy you've been with?" Hyunjin panicked slighty.

"No, no. Just the first guy who I didn't want this to only be a one night stand," Changbin replied quickly, grabbing Hyunjin's hand to comfort him.

"I've never dated a guy because they all used me," Changbin said, "And I hate to admit it, but I feel so many things when I am with you and Felix."

Hyunjin looked at Changbin in shock, their hands still clasped together. Hyunjin's phone rang, breaking the moment between the two.

"It's probably Felix. We all need to talk anyway," Hyunjin explained before reaching in his pocket for his phone. He was right it was Felix.

"Hey, we'll be home in 20 minutes. We have a lot to discuss," Hyunjin spoke into the phone. After he had hung up, Hyunjin grabbed Changbin's hand and lead him to the car.
