♤chapter 35♤

A few days have passed since Hyunjin told Changbin. Mostly Changbin has been staying home and focusing on his music to distract himself. Chan had noticed and refused to let 3racha meet until Changbin had faced everything. It was hard. Both of the people he fell in love with are so broken and traumatised, he was scared to hurt them more. One of them was a murderer and also had a serious mental disorder. The other knew and never told him.

But Changbin couldn't help but love them, as much as his body told him to run away, his heart wanted him to stay with them...so he did. Changbin had been sitting at his computer for hours, he needed to stretch and eat. He gets up from his desk chair, his knees popping. Lifting his arms above his head and stretching his back, his spine making small cracking noises. Letting out a small sigh and walked towards his kitchen. Changbin opened his pantry and retrieved some instant ramen.

Changbin threw it onto the counter and grabbed a pot to boil some water. Once he placed on the stove and waited for it to heat up, he checked his phone. He saw he had a missed call from Hyunjin. Changbin's heart dropped, he wanted to talk to Hyunjin...he just wasn't sure what Hyunjin will say. Changbin stares at his phone and has his finger over the call button...then he finally has the courage to call the older. His breathing became irregular with each ring, and his heart beating faster.

Felix and Hyunjin played rock, paper, scissors to see who would have to call Changbin first. Hyunjin lost. Hyunjin pressed the call button under Changbin's contact. Hyunjin held his breath as each ring struck more panic in him.

"Hey, sorry I couldn't answer. I'm probably in my studio right now, and I will call you back when I finish," Changbin's voicemail said. Hyunjin felt his heart sink a little. Felix cocked his eyebrow at Hyunjin, the older just shook his head while lowering the phone from his ear. Felix opened his arms and older fell into the younger each wrapping their arms around each other.

"He hates us," Hyunjin whispered into Felix's shoulder.

"He doesn't hate us he just needs time," Felix reassured while running his fingers through Hyunjin's hair. Hyunjin just held on tightly, the two sat there quietly until Hyunjin's phone began to ring. Hyunjin let go of Felix to see who was calling, it was Changbin. Hyunjin frantically grabbed his phone and answered the phone.

"Changbin, hi!" Hyunjin answered excitedly, tears forming in his eyes.

"Hi hyung...I saw that you called me. Do you need something?" Changbin answered, sounding a bit emotionless.

"I wanted to see if you wanted to come over soon, we miss you Binnie," Hyunjin admitted, the tears rolling down his cheeks. All he heard in return was a sigh. Is it too early to ask him that?

"If-"

"Yeah...I'll come over. I just need to wash up first." Changbin answered, the words were slow and heavy sounding.

"O-okay, Felix will pick you up in an hour," Hyunjin said looking at Felix to see a nod of approval.

"Alright see you then hyung," Changbin said before hanging up. Hyunjin sat there with the phone to his ear before he lowered it. He looked at Felix with teary eyes.

"Hey, hey. He said he'd come over right?"

"Yes"

"Then there's no need to worry this is a good thing," Felix reminded Hyunjin. "You might want to take a shower before he gets here, you've been crying in the same clothes for 3 days now," Felix pokes at Hyunjin causing a small smile to form on the older's face.

Changbin had finished showering and getting dressed. He was now waiting from a text from Felix saying he was there. Changbin didn't feel like putting too much effort into how he looked. He figured that a white t-shirt and some black joggers would look fine. Honestly, the thought of seeing Hyunjin and Felix again gave him lots of mixed feelings. He missed them, but felt a bit on edge about being near them.

Changbin paced back and forth by his door until he got a notification from his phone:

i'm here

Changbin took a deep breath before he walked out his apartment door, locking it behind him. He decided to take the elevator down to the first floor. While waiting he texted Felix back, "omw." Before he knew it there was a ding and the doors opened. Changbin stepped out and walked towards the doors at the front of the building. Changbin stopped in front of the doors, and stared out at Felix's car. He finally took the step and pushed the door open to go outside.
