It was about 5:15 PM. Lana was currently sitting in her car, in the parking lot of the movie theater, looking for Casey. Since Lana didn't see her anywhere near the entrance , she just started looking around the parking lot at the different people walking into the building. It was about 5:25 PM when Lana heard a bing come from her phone. It was Casey.

"I'm here... but I don't see u 🧐"

"I'm still in the car I'll be out in a second..."

Lana gets out of the car and starts walking towards the entrance of the building. She waits outside for a few seconds until she sees Casey walking towards her. Her emotionless face turns into a bright smile, showing both rows of teeth and her shiny braces. She thinks that Casey looks stunning with her black curly hair in a top ponytail, a bright yellow croptop, a pair of light blue skinny jeans, and her Nikes that were yellow, black, and white. She walks up to Lana. "Hey," Casey says happily, pulling Lana in for a tight, long hug. "Hey, how are you," Lana says with the same amount of enthusiasm. Lana starts blushing a few seconds before the hug is over, but stops before Casey notices anything. They look at each other for a few seconds before Casey interrupts the silence. "Oh, after you madam," Casey says holding the door to the entrance. "Thank you my fair lady," Lana says jokingly in a British accent. They go into the movie theater.

Lana and Casey walk up to the ticket booth. "Two tickets please," Casey says. "That'll be $12," says the ticket holder. Both Lana and Casey go into their wallets to get money, but Casey stops Lana before she pulls anything out. "No, I got it. Don't worry about it," Casey says with a smirk on her face, pulling $12 out of her wallet. This causes Lana to look away blushing. The ticket holder gives Casey the tickets. Casey hands Lana one of the tickets. "Thanks man," Lana says as they walk toward the concessions area. "No problem," Casey says. "Alright ladies, what'll it be for you," says the guy behind the counter. "Um... two medium popcorns and two medium sodas," Casey says. "That'll be $20.68." Again, both Casey and Lana start to go into their wallets to get out money, but Casey stops Lana again. "Here you go, sir. Keep the change," Casey says to the guy. "Thank you," the guy says as he puts the change in the tip jar. Afterwards, he goes to get their snacks ready. "You didn't have to do that," Lana says gratefully. "No no, the pleasure's all mine," Casey responds. "Well, thank you," Lana says. The guy comes back to the counter with their popcorns and their sodas. They thank the man and start heading towards their assigned theater.

They walked into the theater while it was still playing trailers. There were only about five people in the theater. Casey and Lana walk up the stairs, all the way to the top row of seats. "Are these seats fine," Casey asks Lana. "Yeah, they're okay," Lana says, assuring Casey. "Okay, good," Casey says. A few more trailers play before the movie starts.

-

The theater was quiet. The only noise you heard was the movie playing. It was about 30 minutes into the movie. Casey and Lana were watching intensely. The movie was getting to a good part when all of a sudden Casey's phone started ringing. Casey scrabbled around looking for her phone, trying not to attract any more attention than needed. "Sorry," she says whispering to Lana as she answers the phone, getting up to go in the hallway. "Hello... yeah, I wasn't doing nothing," Casey says walking down the stairs. She didn't notice that Lana heard what she said as she was walking down the stairs. Lana got a very sad look on her face. She started to feel sick to her stomach. That same sick feeling she got when she had to leave Dave & Buster's because of Jade and Casey's flirting. But she quickly ignored it as she saw Casey frantically walking back up the stairs towards her. Whispering, Casey says, " I am so sorry, but I have to go. My best friend needs me for something." Lana nods her head in approval. "It's okay, go ahead," Lana says sweetly. "Thanks," Casey says running back down the stairs and into the hallway. Lana felt defeated. She got that sick feeling all over again, but this time it was worse. But she stayed to watch the rest of the movie.

-

After the movie was over it was about 7:45 PM. Lana walked out of the theater and over to one of the tables that was near all of the arcade games and the photo booth. She sits down, closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath. She was alone. She felt like she had no one again. She felt like she had lost her chance. "Why am I so worried about this girl anyways," Lana thinks to herself. "Why can't I just stop thinking about her?" All of a sudden, an employee of the theater came up to speak to her. "Is everything alright ma'am?" Still with her eyes closed, she says, "yes, everything is fine." "Are you sure," asked the deep, yet familiar voice. "Yes, everything is fi-" Lana finally opens her eyes to see the worried person who was talking to her. She looks up and sees a very familiar face. A guy from high school. Most notably, one of her biggest bullies. She chokes on her words. She seems to have forgotten how to breath. All of a sudden she has a flashback to one of the worst times of her high school career.

-Flashback-

Lana walks down the hall with a nervous look on her face. She sets eyes on one particular person. Jarvis. They make eye contact. She nervously shakes her head and quickly looks away. Jarvis still stares at her with a smirk on his face. Before Lana could make it to her locker, Jarvis blocks it.

"What do you think you're doing, huh?"

"G-getting my stuff from my locker-"

"Nah, what you about to do take yo ugly ass back to where you came from cuz we don't wanna see none of this," Jarvis says, gesturing to Lana, with a disgusted look on his face.

"But then I'll be late-"

"BITCH I DON'T CARE!" Jarvis says interrupting Lana, pushing her down to the ground, making everyone laugh around her.

Lana looks around nervously as people giggle and chuckle, trying to pick up all of her dropped books and papers. She gets up and starts walking away. "Dumb bitch," Jarvis says loud enough for Lana to hear it as she's walking away.

-

Lana started gasping for air. "Ma'am, are you alright," Jarvis asked, now with a very concerned tone. Lana couldn't hear anything except her own exasperated breathing. She pushed Jarvis out of the way, ran for the exit, and started running toward her car. When she got to her car, she quickly unlocked it, frantically got in her seat and sat still. Everything was quiet. The only thing you heard was Lana's trying to catch her breath and calm herself down. But she wasn't calming down. She had so much built up anger and frustration inside her that she had to just let it. She just started crying. And crying. And crying. She was crying so hard that her sobs sounded like screams. She never knew that she had so many emotions built up inside of her. Now she can't control what's coming out. She just cried and cried in the movie theater parking lot until it was time for her to go home.

She had been crying for about 30 minutes. By then, she had calmed down. She wiped her tears from her puffy, red face and started her car. She pulled out of the parking lot. It was a silent drive home. No music.
