Skylar/Sakura POV
When I open my eyes I notice I am no longer in the hospital. I try to look around before realizing I would need to work the muscles in my body in order to do so. I sigh, thinking about how hard it's going to be for the first year of my new life. At least it gives me plenty of time to think of what I should work on after my muscles. I should probably try meditating since I don't need to move to do that. Opening my chakra as soon as possible would be greatly beneficial.
Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath. Just as I feel a small flicker within my core, my stomach grumbles. I start to scream and cry, knowing that it is the only way I will get someones attention. Hearing footsteps approach, my wailing turns into quiet whimpers. Hearing a soothing noise from above, I open my eyes. Looking towards the source I see a brown haired, browned eyes woman peering down on me.
"Awe, what's wrong? Are you hungry? Do you need a diaper change?" She questions in a soft, caring voice. I whimper once more as if to answer her question. Lifting me out of the crib she make her way to what I assume is towards the kitchen. I try to look around as best as I can without being able to move my body, wishing to memorize the layout as soon as possible.
Walking further down the hall, we begin to hear voices of different octaves bounce off the walls. Entering the room a hush falls over for a brief moment, only to start back up seconds later.
I am handed off to someone else, as the lady who was once holding me says something about getting a bottle. Looking towards the person now holding me, I see a man with long, brown hair and murky green eyes. I make slight grabby hands at him, latching my finger in his hair. Worry and fear begins to form in his eyes, as he looks at my hand afraid I will yank at any moment. "Does it look like I have the strength to do that pal?" I thought somewhat irritated at my predicament.
The worry and fear is soon replaced with relief as I am taken out of his hold, forcing me to let go of his silky locks. Looking at the back at the culprit, I am greeted with same lady as before now holding a bottle to my mouth. Latching on, I hold back a cringe at the taste. "How does anyone like milk? This shit is nasty!" Was my only thought as I begrudgingly drink the foul liquid.
Finishing the bottle, I am handed back to the man who gently holds me against his shoulder. A small burp forced its way out as he lightly pats my back. I try not to think of this embarrassing experience, knowing it will only get worse through out this first year or so. Being taken back into the woman hold minutes later. I am taken to a large sink, where I am bathed in lukewarm water. I sigh thinking about how I miss being able to do stuff on my own.
Once I am cleaned and dried, I am once again brought back to "my" room. Though I don't see any other occupants, there are several other cribs in here. I am brought out of my thoughts as I am once again placed in my bed. Yawning, I feel my eyes droop. Closing them I am soon met with an apparently much needed sleep. "Ugh! Why is everything such a workout for this body?!" Is my last thought as I drift off to sleep.

Noticing the baby has fallen asleep, the woman quietly exits the room. Walking back towards the mess hall she sits next to the man at the edge of the room. "So, how long do you think she'll stay here?" He questions. "Not long hopefully. Babies are usually adopted faster than others, but she has such unique looks that it might take a little while for someone to take her." She answers back, saying the word unique with distaste.
The man looks away from her, knowing that she dislikes anything deemed out of the ordinary. He releases a snort, finding it funny that such a plain Jane has those thoughts. "Don't be like that, Tsubaki. We all know you're just jealous that nobody would be able to pick you out of the crowd." He sasses, standing up. Looking back at the woman, he sees a shocked and embarrassed look upon her face.
Walking away from the offended women, the man begins to clean up the mess left behind by the rambunctious children. Tsubaki hesitantly begins helping, not really wanting to be in the same room as said man at the moment. "You know, you're kind of an asshole right?" Tsubaki asks, not really looking for an answer. Sighing, the man continues to clean. "And you're a petty bitch, but you don't see me complaining." He fires back, not once looking towards her. As if done with her shit.
A strangled gasp leaves her as she stops clean, walking out the room. Shouting a, "Fuck you, Ren!" Answering with a simple no thanks he continues his work, smirking.
Ren POV
Putting the last couple dishes away, I walk towards the nursery. Peering through the doorway, I spot the baby from earlier sleeping soundly. Noticing that the other cribs are empty, I realize that she is the only babe. Well for now at least. Walking towards her, i look at the tag attached to her foot. "Sakura Haruno, huh?" I whisper quietly as to not disturb her.
Walking towards the door, I flick off the lights. Looking back once more, I notice a stream of moonlight shining down on her. Breaking out of my awe, I quickly turn away from the mesmerizing sight. Walking to the my room, down the hall from the nursery, I begin getting ready for bed thinking about what all I have to do tomorrow. Laying down, I decide to take Sakura with me on my errands tomorrow. "Babies need fresh air right? Plus I don't really trust Tsubaki either." Is my last thought before I too fall into a deep sleep.

In Skylar's, now known as Sakura's, room. Two figures watch her through out the night making sure no harm comes to her. One dark and the other light, unable to be seen by the human eye. The only one who knows of their presence is Sakura and themselves, as she can see and feel them being the "apostle" of sorts.
A barely noticeable smile appears on the sleeping Sakura's face as she feels the safe under their watchful eye. Knowing that she will be fine, she falls into a deeper sleep. Life and Death looks at each other before slowly fading away from Sakura's room, only to reappear in Tsubaki's.
In her room, an ominous feeling spreads through out as she is plagued with nightmares for thinking about harming their "chosen" one. Content with the punishment Death and Life return to the spirt world, taking the dreadful impact of their presence with them. Just as they leave Tsubaki awakes abruptly, holding a hand to her heart as thanks the heavens above that it was only a dream. However, what she doesn't know is that this dream will repeat itself every time she thinks I'll toward Sakura. For she is essentially the child of both Life and Death, forever watched from the shadows and protected in times of great need. Sakura herself would only come to know this many years later.
