Walking on the streets of old Academy City, there walked a girl and a boy holding hands, not caring of everything around them as long as they're together.
The guy had black hair, light brown eyes and was wearing his school uniform and the girl had dark chocolate hair and eyes and was wearing her civilian clothes.
They have been together since diapers, they were inseparable, even their parents can't separate them no matter what they do. Like fate had decided that they're for each other until their last breath.
Though between the both of them, one isn't normal like the others.
That person had an indestructible power and it started when they at the age of 5.
Spectre Viorlan, was the name of the girl who had indestructible power.
Both parents of her wanted to send her in Academy City to avoid the chaos on their place, mainly because she was not like the other kids her age and she'll be in danger if she stays longer on their home country.
Since Spectre and her childhood friend is inseparable, the guy's parents decided to send their son as well, and for him not to be left behind, he was involved on a project where those outsiders of Academy City who wants to have ESP ability, so that he will have the same as the girl.
As their journey on Academy City continues, the time came when Spectre already reached level 5 and the guy became level 3, but despite their differences the girl never sees herself as a level 5, she's just a mere human with ESP ability and same for the guy.
Spectre's ability was called Kinero or きねロ which means 'bright black or shining black'
Kinero is an ability that no one could explain, it was merely named after some observations.
The guy's ability is something about when he touches a certain thing with five fingers, it would explode, but of course he can control them, it'll be dangerous for him and Spectre.
The guy's name is Tobami Itsutou and his ability was called Tick Bomb, in which after touching the thing after 20 seconds the thing will explode.
When Spectre became a level 5 she became the 1st level 5 since her ability can't be explain and is really dangerous.
But she kept herself a mystery that no one knows except the scienctists, Tobami and herself.
They had a peaceful life in Academy City.

Spectre eyed the scientist as if they were crazy.
"No" she replied bluntly. "I won't risk to destroy something just for that experiment, besides that won't benefit me anything"
"Oh! We'll help your dear boyfriend Tobami Itsutou become a level 5!" another scientist said.
"If only that happens" someone whispered then let out a light chuckle.
