I watched the door shut behind the boy I somehow seemed to care for more than I cared about myself.

"I thought he didn't have any friends. Now you show up, hugging him. After telling him to fuck off a few hours ago." The new girl, Daya, spoke behind me.

I rolled my eyes at her comment, but spoke rather calmly. "Di'Angelo and I had a little discussion earlier. That doesn't mean that we're not friends."

"Oh. Okay. Well, I hope he gets better. I can't go to the game without him." Is the game all she cared about!? Rather than his well being!? Was she fucking joking? Of course not. She was as serious as coach is during games.

"So you're going together?" I asked, even though I knew the answer.

"Definitely! He's been so amazing to me since before school even started for me!" She shouted out, overly excited. So he's known her since before school. Of course.

"Good. You're so cute together." Not to be cocky, but I consider myself to be an amazing liar. She went insanely red.

"I know right!" She yelled back. So are they really dating?

'He's fucking mine!' I shouted. In my head, obviously.

The bell rung, causing us both to jump. She laughed and said bye. I began walking to class, my heart still pouding from the occurrence that have happened in the last 4 minutes.

~~~
The last bell of the day rung, indicating that school had now ended. I grabbed my bag and headed towards the gym towards practice.
"Yeah. The weird faggot kid broke George's nose." One kid whispered to another.
"George got expelled!" Another said. At this, my eyes widened. He got expelled? Shit! Did Nico snitch? Oh lord.
~~~

After practice, I ran towards my car. I turned the key, roaring the engine to life. Without even putting my seatbelt on, I drove to the nearest hospital. I assumed that's where they'd leave him.

I practically jumped out of my car after finding a parking space. I locked it and began running. Running faster than I ever have. I began speed walking instead once I was inside.

I headed towards the desk where a lady in a tight bun sat

"Excuse me. Which room is Nico Di'Angelo in? He was brought in a few hours ago." I was a bit out of breath, but quickly calmed it down.

"Name?" She asked my name, as she blew a bubble of gum.

"Will Solace." Pop! Her gum popped in my face.

"Only relatives are allowed in." She replied in a horrible attitude.

"I'm his brother. He was adopted into my family." I replied back at an instant, holding back my bubbling anger.

She finally looked up from her computer, rolled her eyes, and spoke.

"He's in room 304A on the 3rd floor. You will only be able to see him from a window. If you so much as creek the door open, you'll be out of here faster than you can say 'Di'Angelo'." She spoke in such a disgusting tone.
