•Nico Di'Angelo•
————//————

I sat amongst the rest of the seniors, waiting for my name to be called out. I couldn't believe that we were actually here, graduating.

"Nico Di'Angelo!" My name was shouted out loud, making me stand up.

I walked towards the stage, my heart racing.

Cheers, claps, and shouts were heard as I walked across the stage.

"Congratulations!" Mr. Helms, the principal, smiled as he shook my hand and handed me my certificate.

I nodded at him and headed down the stairs.

Time went by and finally, Will's name was called.

"Woooooo!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, knowing my throat would hurt later.

Will smiled as he swiftly walked across the stage. He walked down the steps and ran towards me.

Once he reached me, he picked me up by my waist and spun me around.

"We did it!" He laughed as he hugged me, tightly if I might add.

"12 years for a handshake and a piece of paper," I commented, staring at the paper in my hand.

"Party pooper." Will chuckled at me.

"Shut up." I pulled him down to my lips, kissing him.

"I'm so proud of you two!" Our kiss was interrupted by Will's mom. She tightly hugged us both.

"Thanks, mom!" Will smiled.

"Thank you," I mumbled back.

"What are you guys going to do now?" His mom asked.

"Well, I made reservations for Nico and I to go on a little lunch date." He rubbed the back of his neck. "It's stupid now that I think about it." He awkwardly laughed.

"It's not, Solace. I'm excited. It's food AND I get to be with you." I looked into his eyes as I spoke.

His expression softened before he pulled me into another hug.

~At the restaurant~

"Would that be all?" Our waitress asked.

"Yup! Thanks." Will chirped.

We watched as she walked away before beginning our conversation.

"You excited for College?" Will asked, grabbing my hand across the table.

"I'm kind of nervous."

"Yeah, me too, but it'll be okay. I'm glad you decided not to take a gap year." He smiled.

"Me too. It wouldn't have worked if I did." I wouldn't have a place to live at if I did take a gap year. He smiled at me before speaking again.

"I found an apartment that I hope you'll like. It's affordable, comfy, and close to campus." He took his phone out and showed me pictures of a cute little, one-bedroom apartment.

"How much is it?" I asked. I've learned to not get attached to anything until after you know the price.

"It's perfect. We wouldn't have to pay for it. I already called and with both of our scholarships combined, it'll cover for it. Since we'll be roommates and stuff. You know?"

"Seriously!?" I held in a smile.

"Yeah!" He chuckled.

"Wow." I let out a laugh. "This is amazing!" I couldn't believe it.
