After Spanish, we had a science and history lesson which I totally failed in and then every student ran from their classes to get to the lunch hall.
"Do you really want to get in that line?" Freckles asked as we stood by the door.
"Well, I want food," I replied.
He took two packets of chips and two Twinkies out of his backpack and handed me one of each, "Here. Trust me, it's better than what they'd serve you over there,"
I rolled my eyes but opened the packet as we walked over to a block of lockers.
"Locker 521 is yours," he said.
"Yay, locker neighbours!" I mumbled.
We put the books we didn't need for our next 2 periods in our lockers and then he showed me around.
"What's your favorite subject?" He questioned.
"Music,"
He smiled, "Cool. We'll go there then,"
He guided me through crowded hallways until we reached the auditorium. Inside was a band practicing for something.
"Do you want to see the practice rooms?"
"Sure," I replied.
I followed him into a hallway full of practice rooms and he opened the door for me. Awkwardly, I walked inside to see two kids about the same age as me. I instantly stepped into the corner and freckles gave one of the kids a bro hug and introduced me.
"Levanah, this is Eli and this is Tiffani," he said. They both waved at me and smiled. I think Eli was tight with Freckles.
Tiffani was too perky for me; she grinned and waved way too excitedly. "Hey Levanah! It's so great to meet you! Who do you have for homeroom?"
"Um, Miss Baxter I think," I told her whilst playing with the hair elastic that was around my wrist.
"O-M-G! Me too! I'll help you out and show you around and stuff so don't worry about a thing!"
Yep, she's that girl.
Once I had met Eli, Freckles took me out of the practice rooms and showed me the classrooms that I had to be in for my next lessons. It wasn't long until the bell rang and I made my way to Home Ec.
On my way there, I heard Tiffani calling my name. I didn't really want to talk to her so I ran towards the classroom and collided with a senior.
"Hey, freshman. Watch it," he warned with a proud smirk on his face. I gulped and continued running to my class.
"Levanah! Wait up!" Tiffani yelled as I looked back at her fighting through the crowd of students. My options were to wait, or go into the classroom before I get trampled on.
Obviously, I went into the classroom and took a seat at the back next a nerdy kid with messy hair and round glasses. He turned to face me and stared at my dark clothing and hair in what appeared to be disgust. I was just glad that this was the last period.
