Annabella's POV;

"And who still remember what we had done next?" Issabella asked excitedly to no one in particular, taking a bite of her lasagna.

"Sure I do." The brown-haired Jane replied, nodding with the same enthusiasm as my sister's. "We had all quickly ran behind one of the horses stables to hide when we heard sir Pablo coming towards us."

I laughed heartily as I remember vividly our silly childish act we had done that summer;Jane and Jake had come to my father's ranch like they always did.Dad had let us feed the ponies after riding them around the ranch.

Somewhat between feeding them,I'd had this evil thought of feeding the horses with the remnants of the food we had  instead of hays. The rest of them had agreed to my silly plan and we had sneaked the food to the horses who gave a high cry in objection to the strange food from the norm they are used to.

Of course that had brought out my dad and we had all quickly ran to hide behind one of the stables giggling mischievously.

We are all at the Wilson's vast garden having a great picnic. When I say 'we',I mean; Charlotte (Jake's mom),Mr Wilson (Jake's dad),Jane(Jake's younger sister),Sir Eric,Sally and the kids, and finally I and my twin Issabella.

True to Issabella's word, Jake had stared  appreciatively at me when we arrived ,his dark eyes lusting passionately at me like a man starved of sex for long. Now sitting across from him,I try hard to avoid his unsettling gaze which keeps on making my heart flutter foolishly as I chat with the others.

Looking round the table,I feel so much at home.Jane who sat beside me kept on reminiscing fondly all the wonderful  and silly things we did as kids and bombarding my sister, Thomas and I with questions on how life has faired with us.The bubbly petite girl had grown up to be a beautiful woman.

And as expected, she was the twin version of her mom, only younger.Just as Jake was his father's younger version,so was Jane her mom's younger version. Both of them having the Wilson's signature eyes;dark, deep, unsettling and lovely.

"How are you holding up with the ranch dear?" Sir Wilson asked directing his question at me. "Eric has told me how you've been putting all your best in the ranch," he finished giving me a fatherly smile.

"The ranch is going well sir.Though it wouldn't have been possible if not the help of sir Eric and our hardworking workers." I replied modestly, taking a cheeseburger from a plate on the lace-covered picnic table.

"Stop being humble cowgirl." Thomas reproved me gently as he grinned at me. "You deserve a lot of credit also for being a ranch girl through and through."

"Always have been," Sir Eric uttered for the first time, nodding his head as he took a sip of his pineapple juice.Just like Sir Wilson, the both of them were men of little words.

My face flushing a crimson red from the compliments,I stole a glance at Jake who had been sitting quietly all this while, wondering briefly what he thought of me also as a ranchwoman.

He gave me a quick grin when our eyes met and I thought I saw something like pride in his dark eyes.Of course that resulted to more blushing as my heart palpitated faster.

"Anna, the children has been whining recently how it's been long they had a pony ride like they used to before." Sally declared from the table as she chewed on her sandwich.

"Yeah,I heard them complaining about it also." Charlotte agreed, looking at the red -head briefly before continuing. "The kids had said something like you and Jake giving them pony rides around the ranch the way you two do before you travelled out of town,Anna."

"Oh,I never knew," I replied warmly. "That's fine with me.I've missed seeing the kids on horses. But I guess I and the kids could manage alone, there's no need to bother Jake who I'm pretty sure would be busy." I said in a rush trying to find an excuse to avoid the sinfully handsome man who sat opposite me with an unreadable look in his dark gaze.

It took a minute for Jake to give a reply.  "Please say no,say no please." I pleaded silently with my eyes.

"Sure,I would like to," He gave the unwelcomed reply smiling sweetly at me before continuing. "But that's only if it isn't a bother to our dear Anna." He finished giving me a sheepish look as he took a bite of his cheesecake.

"Sure," I grunted unwillingly. "It's no bother to me dearest Jake." I finished as I gave him a sweet smile which spoke volumes.

"Thanks a lot." Sally exclaimed with an exaggerated sigh of gratefulness. "You both really make a good team, don't they?" She asked no one in particular.

"Sure they do.Always have looked good together." Ever-supoortive Charlotte answered taking a long sip of her juice as my twin sister and Jane nodded with a foolish look on their face.

Looking at the kids who were playing hide and seek at the centre of the garden,I didn't bother to decipher what Sally and Charlotte meant, neither did I dare take a look at Jake whom I'm sure a very irritating smug look would be plastered on his face.

I have bigger things to think of and that includes making sure Jake suffers for being a pain-in-the-ass.

And with a little help from Calvin and Gabe, who says he won't pay big time?
