Chapter 8

Sitting on a rock, Annabella wrapped her hands around herself looking entranced by the small clear blue river flowing down the valley.

Beautiful valley had always been Annabella's favorite place in Sunrise town.With beautiful trees,Crystal rivers,rocks, mountains and waterfalls,it was truly the meaning of it's name.

Still looking at the river,she remembered with a flush those times she and  Jake would sneak out here just to be together,and be away from everyone else.It was their own little world.

Now speaking of Jake, Issabella was right, Annabella thought with a sigh.

Since their last meeting,she had been secretly hoping to see him again and now that he was coming to her ranch,she found herself here hiding from him.

Sighing, Annabella wondered if it was because she had missed him that made her excited to see him or could it be something else?

Feeling angry with herself for being enthusiastic in the first place,she knew she had to start reminding her heart of the bitter fact which was he had hurt her heart and she wasn't prepared for another heart break.But she couldn't continue hiding whenever Jake's around.They were business partners now and that includes a lot of meetings with him and as much as she would have love to keep her distance from him, she knew it was impossible.

"I just knew you would be here", heart beating, Annabella knew there was no need to turn her head to know who was with her now,she would always know that masculine voice.But she turned anyway not really prepared for the winsome sight that stood at her front.

Dressed in a black body hug which made his large masculine chest seem larger with a faded jeans that enlightened his long legs.His hair was scattered as always but it only added to his rugged handsomeness.Standing tall with his large arms crossed around his large wall of a chest,he was an epitome of male dominance.

It took all Annabella's will power not to croak in reply,"how did you know I was here?"

"Great question and the most stupid one of the year",she heard her head taunting her.Wasn't this the same place they had both sneaked to so many times in the past when they needed to be alone.

Smilling,he walked over to her, sitting on the rock with her,"Because despite all the years that have gone by, you haven't really change a lot".

Hearing him say those words with absolute certainty,she felt vulnerable.Jake knew her like the back of his palm and it was disturbing,she thought with a frown.

Sitting so close to her,the scent of   her beautiful blonde hair wafted into his nose.She still used those flowers scented shampoo which  he had always loved ever since
She was just a beautiful eighteen year old teenager."So tell me,do you plan on doing this often?"

His close proximity to her was actually disturbing as her stupid heart was pounding so fast,she was scared he could hear her breathing."what's that?",she asked him nervously.

Coming to the Pablo's ranch,he had been disappointed to find out that the mistress wasn't around.Meeting her identical sister Isabella who he had missed,she had greeted him warmly,he had been able to get her to tell him some words Annabella had said for him to quickly realized she was here at Beautiful valley. "Running away from me?",he replied with a frown.

Laughing tensely,she replied snortingly,"And who said am running away from you?"

"Like I said earlier, you really haven't changed a lot, it's obvious my presence affects you",he replied smugly.

Releasing the last straw of restraint she held,she stood up with anger, taking a few steps from him."who are you to tell me such?,you this arrogant, exasperating, annoying, provoking confusing, attractive asshole".She said with a hiss.

Smilling at her as he stood up,he walked towards her with just two long strides."well... you just said it now that am attractive, which means you want me,Anna".

"Did she really say the word attractive,for Pete's sake 'attractive' wasn't an insult!,she thought feeling confused, running her trembling hands through her hair.Trust Jake to make her feel this way."Well.... I might have said that, but that doesn't mean I want you, that am sure of". Though,she sounded confident,she wasn't sure if felt so.

"Well, that remains to be seen",he said surprising her as he pulled her into him fiercely and locked his lips into hers.
