Faithful, My Love.

Our first date

We wandered through the streets and came across a cathedral. I stood in front of it and wondered, "Mr. Kang, you are a christian, aren't you?". HE was sipping his drink, and casually answered, "No...". I was surprised, "But Mr. Kang, and the rest of your family are all christian, how come you aren't?". He stopped drinking, "People don't necessarily have to follow the mistakes their past generations have been making, whereas, I am an atheist. But why are you asking?" I was a bit disappointed, "Because.....I wanted to go in there...". and I pointed towards the door of the cathedral. Shi Jin was a bit confused, "I don't mind, but won't it be against your...I don't know rules...of going in places of different religions?". I smiled, " It doesn't matter where you pray. What matters is that you know who you are praying to. And you know what, I believe that all of us pray to that same God, but the only difference is the name we give Him." After this I headed in and he followed.

We went in and stood in the  front of the brown fence. I immediately covered my head with my scarf, and raised my hands to pray to God. Shi Jin just stood next to me. I looked at him, "What are you doing? Pray.". He turned his head and looked at me, "I don't know what to pray for, I already have everything. I don't think I have anything else I want." This attitude of his is what annoys me the most, "There must be something you want, happiness, inner peace, love, guidance, anything, and you don't always pray to ask God for something. Sometimes you should just pray to thank Him for all he has given.". After this, I closed my eyes, and prayed to God in my heart, "I am sorry, if I haven't been able to pray to you the way I am supposed to. Please forgive me, for all the wrong I am doing and all the wrong I am about to do, but please bless me, my family, and my friends. To be honest, I really need your guidance, because I don't know what I am doing. When I close my eyes, I feel haunted by my future as I see Harris. Then when I fall asleep, I am haunted by my past, as I see Fahad (My first love) in my dreams. But then, when I open my eyes, I see my present, as I only see this man, Kang Shi Jin..I don't know, if it's because I want to see him, but I know I shouldn't see him. I don't know what to do.Please help me.". Mean while, during this time, at first Shi Jin was just staring at me while I was praying, he stared for a while, then smiled, closed his eyes, and joined his hands to pray, and started praying in his heart," God. At first I didn't know what to pray to u, but since she told me to thank you then Thank You for giving me everything, but then you might think that I am being greedy but I want one more thing, Her. She is the last thing I want from you, after which I won't ask anything. Actually I didn't even believe in you, but since she believes in you, so do I. To be honest I am actually jealous of you, She prays to you to achieve heaven, but for me where she is, is heaven. She believe's you will give her inner peace, of the soul and the mind, but for me, she is my soul's bliss, and my eye's calmness. She thanks you for making her heart beat, but what should I do when she lives in every of my heart beat. She bows down to you, and I can't help but to bow down before her. Maybe because, she believes in you as her God and I see my God in her....so please give her to me. Please don't keep me longing, the same way she does, whenever her shadow teases me with a touch...She is the last thing I ask from you...Please..". He seemed to be praying with great devotion, but we were interrupted when someone said, God bless you, my children." I looked up, and it was a elderly priest. He looked at Shi Jin then at me,  "Don't ever feel disappointed in God, nor feel that he doesn't love you. God loves all of his children, and he surely knows what's in your heart dear child. " I smiled, and looked down, I just couldn't look at him in the eyes, "Surely, God loves us all." HE then looked at Shi Jin, " NO one in this world can be compared to Almighty, he is the greatest, most merciful, most gracious, he surely has no one equal to him. ". I agreed with him, and he continued, "I sincerely pray to God that he gives you both, want you desire, If it is what is in your fate. As indeed He is the best of planners.".

 We both smiled, thanked him and headed out. After we left the priest said to himself, "We will meet again dear child as this is your fate, but I pray to God that he has mercy on both of you, and reduces the sufferings up ahead.".  After heading out, I asked him, "So what did you pray to God?". He moved ahead of me, and then turned around, "Ummmm, I will tell you when I have it?". I was fine with it. Then we once again started wandering through the streets, and a point it seemed as if their was a place he was deliberately taking me somewhere. I was so tired of walking , but then finally we stopped in front of a clothing shop. He was entering the shop but then I stopped him and asked him, "Why are we going in there do you need something?". He replied, "Yup, I need a suit for the meeting, I don't have anything to wear.". He dragged me in their and forced me to sit on the couch while he selected and tried on suits. I wondered, "HE has nothing to wear, say's the man who has a whole closet filled with clothes he hasn't ever worn. "

After a few minutes he came out of the changing room..and asked me, "How do I look?"

I replied, "You look quite charming, .". He thought for second, "Nah I don't like this one. Next.". He tried another one, I again said he looked good in it, again he said he didn't like it. This continued for a while, but when he came out, and asked for the sixth time, I stood up and snapped, "You look hot in every single one of suits you tried, so please just buy one!!.". All the other staff, and customers were staring at me. I immediately realized that I shouldn't have said that, and covered mouth, "I am waiting for you outside" and ran out. After this when the attendant, asked, "So,Sir which suit shall I pack for for you.?". He replied, "Didn't you hear? She said, I look hot in all of them, so just pack them all..". The attendant was a bit shocked. While she was handing over the suits to him at the counter, she said, "Sir, don't mind but your girlfriend is really very cute.". He said, "I know.", and moved out of the shop...
