I was in Global today and we were learning about a man named Ivan the Terrible. If you don't know who he is, he was a Russian ruler who went crazy after his wife died. I know this seems like it wouldn't really have much to do with Nat but once I explain the similarities seem too alike to be a common coincidence. Nat was from Russia the place where Ivan the Terrible was in charge of, which was one of the only things that we really know about her past. It was revealed in Endgame when Nat and Clint were greeted by Red Skull that her father's name was Ivan. Hmm, I wonder where we've heard of a man named Ivan from Russia. Now I know this all seems pretty far fetched but once you add in Ivan the Terribles wife things seem a little more clear. Ivan the Terrible married the love of his life and went crazy when she died, his wife was named Anastasia Romanov, and some people even know her as Anastasia Romanova. Who do we know who is referred to by both of these last names in the MCU? The answer is none other than our Queen Natasha Romanoff. With her father being named Ivan, originating from Russia and the same last names, I feel like this is way to similar to be just a mere coincidence.
I don't know if this is me just being crazy or whatever, but I'm not implying that Ivan is her father or anything because that would be impossible considering he was from the 1500s but I am saying that in the Black Widow Movie her father may have some similarities to Ivan the terrible, probably the reasoning behind why Nat never met her father, because he was terrible. Anyway I could be crazy but let me know what you think.
