Chapter 11- Christmas Eve

Ariana's Pov

I woke up with Belle asleep in my arms. From now on she is going to sleep in my bed until the nightmares stop. They really scare her, she sits there and shakes so bad. Today is Christmas Eve, Belle will be so excited. I'm gonna wake her up so I can share the excitement with her.

"Belle hunny it's Christmas Eve. Tomorrow's Christmas!" I say giving her a light shake.

She opens her eyes and looks around.

"Is it really Christmas tomorrow?" Belle asks.

"It sure is Princess" I reply.

I scoop Belle up and carry her down stairs. I make her breakfast and set it down in front of her.

"So today Nonna and Uncle Frankie are coming over and we are going to decorate the house. Then they will stay the night and we will wake up extra early tomorrow" I say.

"Cool" Belle says with a massive smile spread across her face.

Isabelle's Pov

We get the decorations from the basement. And start decorating the house. We decorate the front lawn and front door then we move to the dining room. From there we do the landing at the bottom of the stairs, then comes the fun part, we get to decorate the lounge room! We get the Christmas Tree and put it up. I get to decorate the tree with Mommy while Nonna does the stockings and extra stuff. Uncle Frankie left to do some last minute top secret stuff that Mom is keeping from me. I'm still not that too sure about what all the Christmas stuff is about because I'm only 6 and I've never really celebrated it before. Technically it's my first Christmas. Mommy then picks me up so I can put the star on the top of the tree. We finish decorating the whole house and it's early nighttime. Nonna makes us dinner while Mommy snuggles with me on the lounge. I haven't seen Uncle Frankie all afternoon, he's still doing secret stuff.

We have dinner, which Uncle Frankie comes down for,and I continue my movie that I'm watching with Mom. The movie we are watching is called 'The Nutcracker'.

"I'm tired" I say to Mom.

"Come on we'll go and get you bathed" Mom says.

Mom carries me up the stairs and sets me down she tells me to get my PJs while she runs my bath. She lifts me in the water and starts to wash me. Once I'm clean she lifts me out and drys me. She helps me get dress into my onsie and zips me up.

Ariana's Pov

"Do you want to say up here or come back down and sleep on my lap?" I ask.

"Come down with you. I don't want to say by myself" She says sadly.

"That's okay come on" I say picking her up and carrying her downstairs.

I sit on the lounge and Belle lays across my lap with her head resting on my arm like a baby. Mom grabs the rug off the back of the lounge and puts it around Belle. Belle soon falls asleep in my lap and I watch the end of the movie.

The movie finishes and I stand up still holding Belle and carry her to bed. I put her in my bed, then climb around the other side if the bed and climb in. Belle wakes up when I get into bed.

"I'm not in your arms anymore" she says in a tired sleepy voice.

"Come here" I say and she rolls towards me and and hug her into my chest.

We both drift off the sleep ready to wake up early cause tomorrow's Christmas.
