Chapter 44- Family Meeting

Ariana's Pov

"Can't you adopt her Mom?" Maddie says.
"It's not that easy there's lots of paperwork to fill out" I say.
"But please can't you try?" She says.

"I'll see what I can do. But I'm not doing anything without having a family meeting first" I say.
"Okay" Maddie says.
"Come on let's go down to Belle and get this sorted" I say.
I grab her hand and drag her downstairs to Belle. We get downstairs and she's sitting there watching her kid shows.
"Belle" I say getting her attention.
"Yeah" she replies looking up.
"We need to have a family meeting" I say.
Belle turns the TV off and looks in our direction.
"Yeah" Belle says.
"Okay, how would you feel if as a family we adopted Mackenzie into the family?" I say.
"I guess it would be fun to have a sister around my age" Belle says.
"She still is 4 years older than you shes 8" I say.
"It doesn't matter she still could play with me. Then if have two sisters" Belle says.
"Okay fair enough. Now Maddie I know Mackenzie is your sister but please remember so is Belle" I say.
"Of course, I won't leave Belle out if anything" Maddie says.
"Okay we'll adopted Mackenzie" I say.
"Yay thank you Mom" Maddie says excitedly.
"That's okay precious" I say.
"Which room will she have?" Belle asks.
"I think the one in between you and Maddie" I say to Belle.
"Should we get it set up before she arrives" Maddie says.
"Nah, I think we will wait and do it with her" I say.
"Okay sounds good" Maddie says.
"I have to call the adoption centre and say that I'm interested in adopting Mackenzie" I say.
I pick up my phone and researched the number for the orphanage online. I found the number and called it.
"Hello, Summerspring orphanage, Mary speaking. How can I help you" the lady says.
"Hi I was hoping you could help me with adopting one of the girls you have. It's very important to me that I adopt this little girl. This little girl is my adoptive daughters blood sister. Her and her sister got seperated and now I'm trying to place them back together with me" I say.
"What's the girls name that's here?" The lady asks.
"Mackenzie" I say.
"Ah yes, she's a little sweetie" the lady says.
"Yeah she is" I say.
"So you've adopted before?" She asks.
"Yes, I have" I say.
"Is Mackenzie's sister the only one?" She asks.
"No she's not I've also adopted Belle whose's 4" I say.
"Okay how old is Mackenzie's sister?" She asks.
"12" I say.
"Okay shouldn't be a problem. Come down tomorrow and we will get you to fill out the paperwork and you can take her home" the lady says.
"Okay thank you so much" I say hanging up the phone.
"Good news" I say to Maddie and Belle. "We get to go to the adoption centre tomorrow and get your sister".
"Yay" Maddie and Belle say together.
"Okay Princesses we should all go to bed so we are rearing to go tomorrow, okay" I say.
"Okay" says the girls.

I get them both ready for bed and I tuck them each into there own beds.
"Goodnight babies" I say.
"Goodnight Mommy" they replied.

I smile to myself and get myself ready for bed.
