Background:
Takao was a Japanese doctor, with a fascination with martial arts and the ancient samurai warriors of old. Through his work, he met a promising American scientist, Noah Colonley, and his research partner Ilene Huff. The two scientists had traveled to Japan to conduct a multitude of genetic research. Their work was funded by a member of the Hamato Clan: Oroku Saki. As the years passed, Takao became closer to both Noah and Ilene. As their friendship bloomed trust, it was not long before Takao was introduced to Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki. With his interest in martial arts, Yoshi and Takao quickly became friends. Toshi gladly trained Takao whenever time permitted.
As Noah and Ilene's research continued, both Takao and Ilene formed an exceptional bond- one that went beyond a friendship. With no end in sight of her research after multiple years and no plans to return to America, the two settled and married. Around a year later, they had a child, named Adachi Emiko.

Background:
Dr. Colonley is a promising scientist, advancing the genetic field quicker than it ever has. His goal: solve genetic diseases and mutations. He did not just wish to modify a person's genetic code manually, before conception, but during the individual's life. His idea was to create a formula that could easily be injected, such as that of a vaccine, that would automatically target and fix one's genetic code.
With a notable reputation, Noah and his team received funding from a variety of organizations and individuals. One such individual, who made regular and notable donations, offered Dr. Noah a deal he couldn't refuse. Oroku Saki promised as much funding as he needed, along with any accommodations Noah would require, including a suitable lab in Japan. Saki followed through and Noah traveled to Japan with his team to continue their research.
Ilene Huff Height: 5'3" Age: Deceased American Casting: Natalie Portmant

Background:
Ilene Huff was one of those working on Dr. Colonley's team. Her skill and knowledge of the field proved useful and she quickly became Noah's partner. The two worked endlessly and tirelessly and that didn't end once they had traveled to Japan. Despite her busy schedule, she and Noah met Adachi Takao at one of the hospitals.
As her time in Japan lengthened, she and Takao grew closer. She never would have thought about taking precious time off from work to get married and begin a family. But she did. And she never once regretted it.
Carrie Colonley (Adachi Emiko) Height: 5'4" Age: 16 (turtles currently 17) Japanese American: born in Tokyo; moved to New York City three months after; has lived there ever since. Casting: Reon Kadena

Background:
Emiko's biological parents were Ilene Huff and Adachi Takao. A domino effect of disastrous events forced her to be adopted by Noah Colonley. In order to protect her and her identity, Noah raised her as if she were his own. He renamed her Carrie and changed her surname to his.
Carrie has no knowledge of her biological parents or her origins. As far as she is concerned, Dr. Colonley is herbiological parent. Noah, carrying the burden of the truth behind her infancy, placed her in martial arts classes. As she grew older, she took an interest in archery along with her regular training.
