It was a normal day to everyone else, but not Peter. Today was...eventful. Peter went to the tower. Once aunt may died mr. Stark took over custody. But after may died for awhile Peter didn't let himself feel. He would push away anyone who got close. But then she came, Gwen. She got him to open up, to feel, to love.

Peter got to the tower and just sat down on the couch looking dead, with no life in his eyes. Everyone looked at each other confused then they all looked to stark. "what's up kid? You look dead." Everyone in the tower there waiting for an answer and right when he was about to the elevator dinged and out walked Gwen.

"Peter-" "stop Gwen." Everyone looked between the two. "Peter I'm sorry.-" "STOP GWEN! STOP APOLOGIZING, you'll never be forgiven." Everyone was shocked at what Peter said. "Just go Gwen" Peter said as he put his head in his hands. "Peter-".

"How many times, how many times to I have to let myself get hurt before I realize." Peter stood up and walked to right in front of Gwen. "How many times to I have to let my heart get broken before I stop. After aunt may I closed everyone out and you made me step back into the light. But then here you are, and me in this situation where I'm broken again."

"I could handle if it was just anyone but harry Gwen, my best fucking friend!" "It meant nothing Peter it was nothing-" "that makes it worse, because if it was nothing you were willing to throw away our relationship for nothing." "Peter..."

"I love you." Gwen said. "No you don't Gwen, god for once just listen to your heart over your head! You don't love me! When you love someone you don't just throw everything away for nothing. You don't cheat on them! Gwen no matter how badly I want or you want to you don't love me."

"Maybe you did once. Maybe once you loved me but you don't anymore. And once again I'm just the stupid kid who let himself love just to be broken AGAIN!" "Peter I do love you god I want to love you-" "BUT YOU DONT GWEN! YOU DONT LOVE ME! Look at what we're doing we're fighting in front of the freaking avengers!" Peter gestured to the avengers silently watching.

"Gwen I love you but I can't keep doing this, I can't keep letting myself be hurt. Over and over again. Please just listen to your heart over your head and walk away. Never look back never think of me again. Because the sooner you break me, the sooner I can start to rebuild myself. So please if you've ever loved me in anyway, please just walk away." And that's what she did Gwen walked to the elevator.

"Say it just one last time. Please."
"I love you" Peter said

And with that she was gone and Peter was sitting on the couch trying not to break down. And the avengers were just dumbfounded by the spectacle they just witnessed. Knowing Peter no one went near him. Until he was ready Peter had to build himself alone. Until he could let them in again. Until he could let himself love again.
