*Danni's POV*
'LET ME OUT!!.. ' I screamed.
These fucking bastards didnt know who they were messing with. Fury raged inside me, soaring all around my body.
I tried to shift but I couldn't. The space I was in was way to small.
I could feel it surrounding me and the claustraphobia was getting to me slowly but cleverly.
I screamed again and barged my shoulder into what felt like a cage. It moved to the side slightly but other than that made no movements at all.
I couldn't see anything. The black bag was placed carefully around my eyes and was strapped around my throat but also allowing me some breathing room.
Something else was on my neck but I couldnt see it or feel it since my hands were tied with chains behind my back. I snarled visciously and drove my body into the wall again but nothing happened.
I heard people around me but I couldn't see them. They were discussing something and chortling to themselves but I couldn't hear specifically what they were saying. It sounded as if they were behind some sort of wall. I couldnt be sure.
I then heard thudding on the floor to my left like footsteps but it sounded like whoever was making them was dragging their feet ever so slightly. A door creaked open slowly to my left and a rotten oder filled the room, it was like whisky and cigarette smoke combined. I turned my head even though I couldnt see and growled throwing myself towards the left side of the cage. My shoulder stung as the cold, metal bars left marks into my skin.
'Feisty this one is.' Someone (sounded like an old man) said laughing.
I slightly recognised the voice but I couldn't tell where I had heard it from.. Was I really that amusing? He wouldn't be laughing if I was out of this cage...
I smiled at the thought but went back to growling when someone reached into the cage and grabbed my hair to hold me in place while unchaining the chains holding my hands together.
I immediately lashed out gripping nothing but the cage sides. I reached for the black bag around my head and ripped it off then wrapped my fingers around the cage sides once more.
I stopped growling in shock as I looked around. About 10 people were staring at me smiling and frowning from behind a glass window that looked extremely thick. One thing I noticed as I stared around the concrete room was blood and scratch marks on the walls. door, and faint scratch marks on the window.
Whatever blood had been on the window had been washed off but not very well since slight smears of a pink shade illuminated by the one, intensly bright light above my head could be seen splattered around it.
I reached for the thing wrapped around my neck. It was stretchy like it could expand but it felt unbreakable almost. I looked in the reflection of the glass at myself and gasped when I saw it was a collar. It was black with splatters of red on it, and dangerously tight around my neck.
I glared at the man who had unchained me hoping to get revenge for putting me in this box. That plan didn't work as I layed my cool, amber eyes on him and I gasped and stuttered. I could hardly even breathe and my hands fell to my sides limply.
'James?' I stared in complete shock. 'But... how could you?' How could he betray us like this? Just....how?'
He snorted and spoke loudly as if he didn't even care.
'So who wants the wolf boys!' He grinned wide showing huge but revolting teeth.
Some of the men behind the glass shuffled to the back of the room and out of a door. I just managed to catch a glance of the huge sign outside of the door.
"Auction room"
WHAT. THE. HELL?
I was still in shock about James but this? this was just complete insanity!
Some of the men stared me over with lust and it made me feel sick in the stomach.
One man held up his hand with a sign inside saying $100,000. What? Is he actually serious?
I stared as if almost in a daze. Nothing seemed real, had this really happened without any of the pack knowing? or had Hunter known and not told us. Either way this was insane and utterly weird.
Another man held up his sign now saying $100,500
I was in complete disbelief. The bidding kept going up and up until it was almost at $200,000
This was unbelievable. I felt so insignificant in the small, boring room even though I knew i possessed powers far greater than these average humans. I used to be an average human. Oblivious to the beautiful, mysterious world that had hid in the shadows all these years.
I had been so weak. Such a puny target and yet I had been gifted with something I only thought happened in fairytales. But even the most powerful of beasts has a weakness. Everything on Earth can be targeted. Everything and anything.
All this thinking was starting to make my brain hurt but nothing could hurt me more at this point then thinking about what my pack...not knowing what my family would be feeling or thinking. I might be dead to them.... and i might not ever know.
I refused to let that happen. No way in hell was I going to die out of these peoples lives. There was just no way. They'd know I was alive. Wouldn't they?
Finally the last bidder held up his price as I snapped out of my thoughts and the rest of the men sighed and filtered out of the room until I was left staring at my buyer.
He looked... well friendly but I didn't trust him. Not at all. infact I despised him. His skin was pale, almost translusent. His face looked stern but held a look of innocence.
I was too busy studying his face that I didn't realise one of the people that had come in approaching me with a large needle.
The pain was the last thing on my mind but I panicked as the last of the green liquid leak into my bloodstream.
I tried to move my body to the other end of the cage but i had only squirmed half an inch away before my vision started to blur again. Not once did my buyers eyes ever leave mine until I sunk to the floor struggling to keep my eyes open. My breathing slowed and I felt my eyes flutter open one last time to watch Hunters dad, James, shuffle carefully out of the room with a big envelope of money in his right hand and a cigarette in the other.
