I let out a sigh as I laid my head on my hand and watched Shuri talk to her brother, the King of Wakanda.
"If you keep staring you will burn a hole in him." A voice whispered.
I shot up and turned to see my sister, Okoye.
"Shut up." I said as I gently pushed her away.
"You should just talk to him, it's obvious he likes you back." She said softly.
"I'm not from Wakanda.... there is no way he would like me." I said softly.
"Just because you weren't born here doesn't make you any less Wakandan, just like you not having my blood makes you any less my sister." She said as she turned and walked away.
I smiled as I shook my head and watched her walk away.
"(Y/n)! Come here and help T'Challa spar!" Shuri yelled from across the room.
"Alright." I said as I walked up to them.
"I have a suit for you." She said as she rushed to the table.
She brought a white suit out and handed it to me.
"Go put it on." She ordered.
I looked at myself and shook my head as I put the mask on."Wow." T'Challa said softly.
"Meet the White Tiger." Shuri said cheerfully.
I laughed as I shook my head and got into a fighting stance.
"Ready my king?" I asked with a smile.
He put his mask on and shook his head.
"I'm always ready, what about you?" He asked playfully.
Time skip
I let out a laugh as I laid on my back beside T'Challa.
"I can't believe we tied." He said as he tore his mask off.
"I can't believe you two have been fighting for over an hour." Shuri said as I set up.
"I still think I won." I said with a laugh.
"It was a tie." T'Challa said as he stood up.
He held his hand out and I gently took it and let him help me up.
"Thanks." I said softly.
My eyes met his and he sent me a smile.
"Kiss her." A voice whispered.
We both turned to look at Shuri and I shook my head as she ran off.
"And she is the smartest one here." I said with a laugh.
"That she is." T'Challa said softly.
"Well... I need to get going... I have work to do." I said as I went to move away.
He kept his hands on my wrist and I looked up at him confused.
"Sorry." He said as he let go of my wrists.
"I'll... see you around." I said as I turned and walked out of the lab.
Timeskip
Erik Killmonger had came and stole the crown from T'Challa who we had all thought dead. I was forced to stay in Wakanda with my sister and suffer in silence.
"Are you alright?" Okoye asked softly.
"I don't know... I... I feel like my heart has been torn in two." I said as I felt tears threaten to stream down my face.
Soon the door opened and W'Kabi came in.
"The king wishes to speak to you." He said sternly.
I was taken to the throne room and I kept my hands to my side.
"You are Wakandan." Erik said calmly.
"No I'm not." I said softly.
"Why would the king allow you to stay here?"
"I was raised as the sister of Okoye."
"But why keep you here? What are you to the king?"
"I was his friend." I said softly.
"And what are you to me?"
"Nothing... you are not my king."
"Take her to the cells." He ordered.
Timeskip
I let out a sigh as I laid my head against the wall. I had been in the cell for a little over a day and I felt so lost. I was suppose to be like Okoye and respect the king who rules, but I couldn't respect him.... he wasn't T'Challa. I heard footsteps and looked up to see the shape of a man walking towards me.
"Come to tease me?" I asked softly.
"No, to let you out."
My eyes went wide and I quickly stood up. The door opened and T'Challa sent me a smile as he walked inside.
"You're alive!" I exclaimed as I rushed up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck in a tight embrace.
"Yes, Sorry I worried you." He said as he hugged me tightly.
I pulled away and our eyes met.
"Now I get it." I said softly.
"Get what?" He asked confused.
"Why I couldn't respect him.... it's because I wasn't in love with him." I said softly.
He sent me a smile and leaned down and gently kissed me.
"Finally!"
We pulled away and I let out a laugh as I saw Okoye cover her mouth while Shuri let out a laugh and pointed at her.
