Victoria's POV
The aircraft dropped Tony and I off at our house. Once the trap door came down, I wasted no time stomping out and into the house. Tony stayed back for a while to talk to the rest of the Avengers, and was talking to Steve the last I saw him. I stomped up the front steps and tried twisting the doorknob but it was locked. Angrily, I began continuously pressing the doorbell over and over... and over and over and over.
Finally, Pepper answered. I didn't even say 'hello' before I pushed past her, making her stumble back, and started up the steps. I swung my bedroom door open and it flew into the wall, probably leaving a dent, but I didn't care right now. I pulled my suitcase out from underneath my bed and laid it on top, beginning to throw in random articles of clothing. I heard footsteps approaching and looked toward the door, where Pepper came into view.
"What do you want?" I usually wasn't this rude, but I was in such a bad mood, and I didn't want to talk to anyone.
"Are you alright? I heard what happened."
"I'm fine."
"You don't sound fine."
I sighed annoyedly. "It's none of your business, really."
That was all I had to say for her to give up and leave. I rubbed my eyes quickly and zipped up the bag, dragging it off the bed and down the hall. It thumped down each step and I headed for the front door. As I was walking back to the aircraft, which was thankfully still there, Tony was still talking to Steve. They looked toward me, then the suitcase, and bewildered looks spread across both of their faces.
"Where do you think you're going?" Tony asked as I passed him, determined to make it back to the aircraft.
He followed close behind me but I refused to look at him and only walked faster.
"You obviously don't want me here. I'm going to stay with Steve."
"Woah, woah, woah... Victoria," I heard Steve say close behind me. "Stop." He grabbed my arm and turned me to face him. I crossed my arms. "You need to stay here."
"Why should I? He hates me." I shot a glare at Tony, who was standing behind me.
"Sweetheart," Steve crouched down to my level. "I know what your Dad did hurt your feelings, but you can't just stowaway on the ship and come live with me."
"Why not? Sounds easy enough." He chuckled and gave me a look. I huffed. "Fine!"
I pushed past the two of them and began walking back to the house, then dropped the handle of the suitcase and booked it back toward the aircraft. I actually managed to get past Steve and Tony.
"Jailbreak!" Steve yelled.
Natasha, Clint and Bruce were standing just outside the aircraft at the base of the trap door, and all turned to look at me as I sprinted with Tony and Steve hot on my trail. They looked confused as to why all of this was going down, but nonetheless spread out with their arms out to grab me. I slowed down just long enough to point at the sky to distract Bruce and squeeze past him. I thought I was free as I finally ran up the ramp, and looked back to see everyone had finally stopped chasing me.
"Ha! Losers— oof!" I hit something and fell onto my butt. I looked up and met eyes with Thor.
"Thor! Save me, they won't let me leave!"
"Where are you trying to go?"
"I don't want to stay here, Tony hates me. I want to stay with Steve." I looked down and picked at my fingernails.
Before I could look up again, Thor wrapped an arm under my legs and threw my over his shoulder. I let out a squeak and began pounding my fists against his back.
"Thor!" I yelled as he began walking back down the ramp.
He placed me back on the ground, this time right next to Tony. I didn't look at him though. Instead, I instantly began walking back to the house, grabbing my suitcase on the way.
Once I made it back, I pushed Pepper out of the way again, who was innocently walking through the front door. Poor Pepper, I actually felt bad for being so rude to her. I dropped the suitcase at the end of the steps and made my way back to my bedroom, slamming the door behind me.
...
It was around 9:30pm, and nobody had bothered to come to my door since we got home. I was sitting back on my bed watching the movie High School Musical and eating a bag of popcorn, scrolling through my phone every now and then. Finally, there was a small knock at my door. I didn't say anything, but they opened it anyways. It was Tony.
"You left this downstairs." He said, rolling the suitcase into my room. I looked back to the movie where Troy and Gabriela were singing about 'going their own way'.
Tony sighed and sat on the edge of my bed.
"Victoria, I'm really sorry... I shouldn't have acted out like that."
"I know." I popped another piece of popcorn into my mouth, keeping my gaze focused on the TV.
"It doesn't matter who your mother was or who she was related to. She was one of the most kind, beautiful women I ever met. And she gave me the most amazing daughter I could have asked for."
I swallowed hard. "Funny, you didn't feel that way earlier."
"Victoria I'm just not good at—"
"Good at what? Apologizing? Admitting you were wrong? Saying how sorry you are that you accidentally hooked up with a demigod's sister, among others, and accidentally got her pregnant and accidentally abandoned your daughter for 11 years?" I yelled at him.
He didn't say anything, he just stared at me. "I heard you," I said. He furrowed his eyebrows. "Talking to Pepper downstairs. Asking her what to do. The only reason you're even up here is because she told you to."
"I want to make this right... what can I do?"
"Leave me alone."
