"T- Thirds"
I tried to sound normal as I can. But I don't know why it's so hard for me to pronounce his name without stuttering.
"I brought you food." He said without looking at me or am I the one avoiding his eyes?
"I-i'll rest first. I'll eat it later." I said.
"Bea, you need to eat. Kainin mo na to habang mainit pa."
"No, it's really okay. Magpapahinga na lang muna ako." I insisted. I tuck myself in the bed sheets and face my back to him.
"Look Bea, ano na lang sasabihin ni Dani sa'yo if you'll not eat this?"
I did not gave him my response.
"Beatriz" That's the only word that made me face him once again.
"Eat this." He steps closer to me, handing me the plastic which contains the food.
But rather than getting it, I only stared at it.
And I heard him sigh.
"Bea naman. I know that you don't want me to be here. If it weren't for Dani, I wouldn't be—"
"I know Thirds. I know."
"I mean, who am I to be taken care of diba?"
I knew it. Napilitan lang sya. I mean, why would he care?
"CR lang ako." I quickly got up from the bed and headed to the door. But before closing it, I didn't know why a tear suddenly escaped from my eye.
"Get yourself together, Bea." I keep on telling myself in front of the mirror.
I washed my face for the last time.
"Get yourself together."
I went back to the clinic only to find him sitting on the chair next to the bed.
The guts of this guy.
"Eat up." He said.
Without looking at him, I went back to the bed.
I grabbed the plastic and started to eat. After eating, I put the plastic aside and lie myself on the bed.
"Than—"
"I'm gonna rest." Without any hesitations, I cut him off. At this point, I don't want to start any conversation with him.
I just realized how pathetic I became. Being sad and cried for no fucking reason. And I just realized that I should stop.
Enough is enough.

"Ate Bei, how are you feeling?"
"I'm already fine Dani. Don't worry." I said while picking up the volley balls.
"Won't it be better for you if you rest na lang. I mean pwede ka namang magcatch-up sa training mamaya. Just to make sure na okay ka na talaga."
"Okay na ako." I assured her.
"If you say so."
"By the way, ano nga pala nangyari last night? Di na kita nabalikan kasi bantay na bantay ako kay Coach O. Di tuloy ako makapuslit." She said while we are fixing the net. Kakatapos lang ng training.
"I went back to Eleazo"
"Really? Hinatid ka ni Kuya?" I saw her face brightened.
"No. I went there by myself." And now, her face sank.
