As I sat down to pen the second installment of my series, Who Killed Olivia Khan, I knew I wanted to include a mix of violence, romance, high school drama, and larger-than-life characters who would leave a lasting impact on readers. As I brainstormed possible additions to the series, the idea of twins struck me: two polar opposite sisters, Mackenzie and Gianna. Mackenzie embodied my own personality in high school - outgoing yet stubborn, resilient yet kind. Gianna, on the other hand, represented my younger self - timid, gentle, and eager to please others.

Each character in the series was influenced by real people in my life - their personalities shaped by my friends' perspectives. And while many may wonder if this series will continue with a third book, I made the deliberate decision to end it with a cliffhanger. I wanted readers to be able to speculate and imagine their own endings for Juliana, Mackenzie, Gianna, and Finn's journeys.

Completing the Who Killed Olivia Khan series has been an emotional rollercoaster for me - bittersweet as I say goodbye to these characters that have become so dear to me. It is my hope that this book will not only entertain but also offer lessons and insights that can be applied to real life.

Readers may wonder why Finn did not play a larger role in the series. The truth is, Finn's story had already been told in another book and I didn't want to detract from his journey by adding more details in this series. My focus was always on Juliana and her experiences.

As I wrote this series, I drew inspiration from various sources such as CNN, Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars Series, Law and Order, Murder Mysteries, and Dateline. Shows that I personally love and admire for their storytelling abilities.

To all those who have supported me throughout this writing journey - my parents who always believed in me, my sister Chiamaka who gave me valuable feedback and advice, my brother Ikechukwu who encouraged me and made me laugh, my English teacher Miss Broadstreet who pushed me to be a better writer, and my dear friends Emma, Johanna, Sadie, Emme, Lindsey, and Sophia - thank you. Your love and support mean everything to me.

And finally, a heartfelt thank you to the fans of this series. You have made it all worthwhile with your love and encouragement. Never stop believing in yourself and always stay true to who you are.

With gratitude,

Adalena (known as Adi) - author of Who Killed Olivia Khan
