FORGIVENESS:

To be forgiven is one of the greatest treasures in this world —to be forgiven by God Himself because we have confessed our sins and given our heart, soul, mind, body and life to Him in belief of God's Son, Jesus Christ dying for our sins, paying the price; redeeming us into God's family, this is the most amazing treasure, I believe, in the whole universe.

In turn, God requires us to FORGIVE others as we have been forgiven as Jesus told in THIS story straight from the Bible:

"Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"

Jesus answered with this parable:

"Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. "But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.'So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?' And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

"So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses"."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:21, 23-29, 31-35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When we don't or feel we can't forgive, we are drinking the sin of unforgiveness into our very soul and it is poison which destroys our relationship with God.

Therefore we MUST forgive the person who spoke of did something against us. If they sinned, we can HATE the sin but likeJesus, we must pray, "Forgive him. Forgive her. Help me not to sin like they have. Help me not to sin against others by not being as forgiving as Jesus who suffered great torture and death as the price of sin, including the sin of unforgiveness."

We must not depreciate the value of forgiving ALL who annoy us, pushing our buttons, or worse; bullies, thieves etc, — if God, in Jesus, can forgive all who come to Him, then we must do as Jesus says and forgive all who 'trespass' against us as He has forgiven us (from the Lord's Prayer).

Be free today, be free everyday by using the powerful anti-depressant of living a life 'forgiven by God' (I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He (God) will forgive us our sins and clean us from all unrighteousness.") Oh, the Joy of being clean; the release, the lack of depression and peace... therefore, as we are forgiven, we MUST forgive all others.

PS - be not annoyed for very long; do not go asleep sulking, give it up before the sun sets; work at NOT being offended at things said or done, move away and allow other peoples problems and whatever poison they are eating on to be their problem. When you are free of unforgiveness, holding grudges or seeking revenge, and only then, will you be fit to help others in their battles and struggles. It all takes time, prayer and being immersed, DAILY, in the Word of God. Begin now.

A new day - begin every day as if it were the only day left to live, still knowing that there are many more days to come - NEVER HOLD A GRUDGE! -

Looking ahead and forget all the 'bad' — leave it behind...
