Chapter 10

Melanie POV

It was the day after the competition and I was just going to chill with Meech most of the day. I got dressed(Outfit on side) and my mom dropped me off at Meech's house. I knocked on the door and Ms.Jen answered.

"Hi Mrs.Jen"

"Hey Mel you can go right up I'm just making dinner"

"Alright thanks"

I walked up the stairs and knocked on his door.

"Come in" He yelled

"Hey Meechie" I smiled

"Oh Hey" He said flatly

"What's wrong with you?" I frowned

"Nothing just surprised you're not with Darío"

"Why would I be with him"

"That dance yesterday was intimate"

"Ok it's a dance it doesn't mean anything"

"I couldn't tell"

"Really Meech, fuck you" I said as I ran down the stairs and stopped by the kitchen.

"Bye Mrs.Jen I can't stay my mom needs me to babysit"

"Ok that's fine tell her I said hi"

"I'll deliver the message"

I then walked out the front door and started walking to Mariah's house since it was closer than my house. I reached her house and knocked on the door and tried to stop the tears from running down my face I had failed obviously when Mariah immediately pulled me into a hug while pulling me into her house.

"What's wrong boo?" She asked

"Meech" I said wiping my eyes

"Ok so Angelo is here but I'll tell him to leave"

"you don't have to I'm fine down here by myself"

"Oh like you had a choice" she said while walking up the stairs

I walked to her living room and fooled around on my phone. I wasn't paying attention and don't notice lo sat next to me.

"What happened?" he asked

"Meech thinks I have something going on with Darío from our competition" I said while wiping my tears

"Ok well I'm going to head over there and talk to him"

"You don't have to,he's just being stupid"

Okay well I'm going to go" Lo said hugging me and pecking Mariah's cheek

After Lo left Mariah went to get some blankets and pillows from her room and brought them down

"Netflix and food?" Mariah asks

"I love you so much" I say while smiling at Mariah and wiping my face

"We've literally just watched the whole first season of Carrie diaries in just a few hours what is wrong with us?" I said

"You are so white I swear literally is your favorite word" Mariah says laughing

"I must get it from hanging around you so much"

"Haha very funny" she says sarcastically

"Well I should be going my mom is outside see you tomorrow!" I say hugging her tightly

"Bye don't forget to complete that language arts paper" She says while hugging back

I gather my things and walk out to my moms car.

When I get home I put my phone on do not disturb and I get ready for tomorrow I then end my night while on FaceTime with Mariah just talking
