Chapter 1

Melanie POV

Hi my name is Melanie Hall, usually I'm called loni and I'm 15. My mom got transferred to Michigan in the middle of January.I already miss ATL,I'm supposed to start school tomorrow..ugh now I have to start all the way over.

"Mel have you started unpacking yet" My mom asked
"Already done"I responded
"Okay just making sure, if you need me I'll be in my room"
"Ok" I said while walking to my bathroom

I decided take my shower since I wasn't doing anything else,when I was finished I put on a big tshirt. As I was walking back to my room my little sister called me into her room.

"Mel can you help me put my clothes up?"
"Sure" I said while starting to fold clothes
"Thank you"
"Are you excited to start your new school"
"I'm nervous what if they don't like me?"
"If they don't that's their loss on missing out to meet the coolest kid ever"
"Thanks but do you like my outfit?" She asked while showing me a white shirt with red lips on them with some high waisted jeans and bred 11s.

"That's so cute I see I've taught you something"
"Yep swaggy" she said as we both started laughing
"You're crazy goodnight Kay"
"Night Mel"

I went in my room and was satisfied with the set up, a chalk wall with Christmas lights and a grey comforter. I got on my Mac amd sent out a quick tweet.

~The Next Day~

I woke up Kailyn then went to take care of personal hygiene.I got dressed (outfit on side) then I grabbed my iphone and bookbag and walked down the steps.Kailyn came down looking cute I grabbed both of us granola bars and we started for our bus stop.Kailyn bus came first then mine soon after,I ignored all the looks I was getting and I just listened to music the whole bus ride.After we arrived I walked to the office to get my schedule I was walking and not paying attention and I bumped into somebody.

"I am so sorry" I apologized to the boy he was lightskin and had dark brown hair
"It's ok I'm guessing you're new since I haven't seen you around before" he guessed
"Yea my names Melanie"
"Nice to meet you I'm Darío but I have to go before I'm late to class bye" he said while running off
Well this is great I thought I still have to find my locker. I found it after a couple minutes but then I had to find the classroom and the bell had already rung.Im late on my first day, just great! I said I could hear the sarcasm in my mind.I soon found my calculus class and walked in.

"Hi you must be Melanie Hall you can take a seat next to Meech, Meech can you please raise your hand "The teacher who I learned was Ms.Wilson said

I walked back and sat down next to him and began copying what was on the board

~Skips to lunch~

Meech POV

I was sitting at lunch and Darío kept going on about some girl he ran into this morning. I wasn't really listening I was still thinking about that girl from math I think her name was Melanie, she was so gorgeous and her style was so unique I saw her sitting by herself so I wanted to go formally introduce myself.I sat down and she looked up at me

"Hi I'm Meech"
"Melanie" She responded
"Nice to meet you"
"Same, not to be rude but why are you over here"
"I saw a pretty girl by herself so I came to keep you company"
"Well that's fine" She said while blushing
"So tell me about yourself"
"Well I have 1 sister.I live with my mom. I moved here from Atlanta and my birthday is May 23, your turn"
"I have 3 brothers,I live with both my parents and my birthday is the first of March"
"Well thanks for keeping me company today"
"No problem could we exchange numbers"
"Sure" she said while grabbing my phone
I took her phone and took a quick selfie and set it for the contact pic then I changed my name in her phone to 'Meech🐼' and when I got my phone back her name was 'Mel😋'
"Well I'll see you tomorrow" she said
"Okay bye"
