You hated the idea of speed dating. There wasn't enough time to really get to know someone enough to know whether or not you wanted to date them. So when Wanda signed you up for a night a speed dating, you were understandably upset. You tried to think of something on the spot to get out of it. "Wanda, I really don't want to go."
"Don't you want to meet someone?" she asked innocently. You groaned. "No, Wan. I don't need to meet anyone. I, uh, I've already got a boyfriend!" you exclaimed. Wanda's eyes widened. "Since when? Why did you not tell me?" You sighed and mumbled something. Wanda arched a brow. "Well, who is it?" Your mouth grew dry. You were certain you were busted. But then your savior came into view.
"PIETRO!" you called. He flashed you a cocky grin and came over. "Yes, Princessa?" Thinking quickly, you wrapped your arm around his waist. "I was just telling Wanda about our relationship." Wanda looked between the two of you. "You two are not dating. Pietro would have told me, no?"
"Ah, but my darling Y/N asked me not to. We did not wish to upset you, dear sister." Wanda's gaze bounced around. She was trying to see if you were lying. You drew even closer to Pietro, just grateful he was playing along. Wanda glared a little, but let it go. "Fine. I will see if Natasha wants to go." She left the room and you let out a sigh of relief. Pietro turned to you with a smile.
"Since when are we dating, Princessa?" You felt your face heat up. "Uh...since about five minutes ago." Pietro's brows rose in surprise. "I'm sorry! I just panicked. Wanda wanted me to go speed dating with her. I hate the idea." Pietro chuckled softly. "I see. So you told her that you had a boyfriend, yes?" You nodded averting your gaze.
Pietro gently grabbed your chin to make you look at him. He gave a soft smile. It wasn't the one he usually wore. It was softer, more loving. "Oh, Y/N, there's no one else I'd rather date. Even if it is not real." You blinked at him. This was a side of Pietro you'd never seen before. You were used to his cocky side. The man who could have a different woman on his arm every week and he knew it. This was different. The question was would it last?
*time skip*
It did last. In fact, Pietro was the perfect fake boyfriend. So perfect that sometimes you forgot it wasn't real. He was attentive and understanding and did everything he could to convince Wanda and the others that you were together. You grew to appreciate the kisses to the temple and forehead anytime he left the room. After a while, you found yourself wishing it was real.
"Something is on your mind," Pietro stated from beside you. You were sitting on the couch, staring out of the window. Luckily no one else was around so you could speak freely. "Yes." He threw an arm around your shoulders to pull you close. You rested your head on his chest and sighed. For a few moments, you sat there in silence, listening to the thundering of Pietro's heart under your ear. Then, he spoke.
"I like this." The way he said it was so calm, yet so full of passion that you looked up at him. He was still looking out of the window. "You do?" He glanced down, his silver hair falling in his face. "I do. It seems so...natural, no? You in my arms is the calmest I have felt in a long time. I do not feel the need to run when I am with you. I feel right."
You didn't say anything. You couldn't. You were too busy staring into those gorgeous blue eyes. You reached up and pushed a strand of hair from his face. His gaze never once moved from your face. "I would like to kiss you, Princessa." Your tongue darted out to lick your lips as your heart started to pound against your ribcage. "Do it," you said in a voice barely above a whisper.
Pietro leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. Some people describe a first kiss as explosive. This wasn't like that. It was more like a comfort. A warmth that spread from your toes all the way up to your head. It filled you completely and made you want more. You felt like you had come home after a long trip. That was Pietro.
You pulled away after what felt like hours. "Whoa," you breathed. Pietro laughed. "That is good, no?" You nodded and smiled. "Very good. I think I'd like to do that again." Faster than you could blink, Pietro shifted so you were laying on the couch with him hovering over you. He kissed you again, more deeply this time. "HEY! NO SEX ON THE SOFA!" Tony's voice cried out, making you and Pietro spring apart.
"Seriously, you both have bedrooms. I already had to replace one sofa thanks to Thor and Jane." You stifled a giggle as Pietro helped you sit up and pressed a kiss to your temple. "Don't worry, Tony. Pietro and I have no intention of soiling the couch with our debauchery." Tony rolled his eyes and Pietro chuckled again. "You know, I am glad you asked me to be your pretend boyfriend." You smiled at him. "I am too."
