Chapter 13. The start of something bad.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!

"Coming." Mabel rushed to the door and opened it. It was just a usual day at the Phantomhive manor and the young lord had been eating lunch when he was interrupted by a knock at the door.

Mabel opened the door and saw two mean in white. One of the men was tall, with silver ear - length shaggy hair and a mole on the left side of his chin and the other man was significantly smaller with hair that mostly went up to his chin with the odd bits behind him that went down to his rear. He looks rather boyish compared to the first man who had a serious expression on his face.

"Hello, to whom do I have the pleasure of seeing?"

"I'm Charles Gray and this is my partner Charles Phipps, more commonly known as the Double Charles. We are part of her majesty's private secretarial officers as well as her butlers. We come bearing information for the young Earl."

"Of course if you'll follow me to his study." She said a bit loudly hoping Sebastian had heard her.

Fortunately for her when they arrived to the study sure enough Ciel was in their with Sebastian standing behind him.

"Charles Gray, Charles Phipps. A pleasure to see you, for what reason have you come to see me?" Ciel asked looking bored already.

Gray walked up to his desk and slammed an envelope down. He slid it closer to Ciel and walked back to his place next to Phipps.

"A letter from her majesty. There seems to be nobles disappearing left and right in London. "

"Her majesty would like you to investigate and find out the culprit behind these disappearances and put an end to it." Phipps continued.

"Is there any given time limit to this case?"

"2 weeks. All the required information will be in the letter. Now if you don't mind Phipps and I must be going. Awfully busy today."

"Very well. Mabel show them out." Ciel ordered as he turned his attention to the letter.

Mabel bowed and showed the two men out. Upon her arrival to Ciel's study she saw Sebastian and the young master focused on a piece of paper.

"What's that master?" She asked as she came round behind them to see the paper as well. The paper contained specific details such as the victims, where they were found and any pieces of evidence.

"It seems the only piece of evidence was this." Sebastian held up a syringe which contained traces of a translucent purple substance. He turned the syringe in his hand to closely inspect the tube but the placed it on the table.

"I am not able to define what substance is in this."

Ciel sighed. He glanced at the list of victims again. "Sebastian prepare my suitcase we're going to the town house."

"Yes, my lord." Sebastian answered.

"My Lord is there any particular reason for us going to London?"

"Yes Mabel. I need to visit someone to find out what's in this. While I'm getting ready to go I wang you to go and gather all the information about the victims. Leave nothing out."

"Yes, my lord."
