Chapter 14. Lesson 3.

Mabel and Sebastian were sitting next to each other in the carriage on the way to the town house. Ciel was staring at the pages of information that Mabel had written up after doing her research. He furrowed his eyebrows in frustration and looked at his butler and maid.

"Mabel what did you conclude from this?"

"Well milord, it seems all these victims were the heads of highly respected businesses that all invested in very in demand scientific inventions." Mabel answered proudly. She brought her hands to her chest and smiled feeling happy to be of some help. This action made Sebastian smile as he shuffled closer to Mabel.

"Anything else?"

"Yes milord. I found out that they all at some point were all acquainted with the same person."

"And who is this person?" Sebastian asked as he moved closer. This time Mabel noticed his movements but didn't think anything of them.

"He goes by the name of Henry Bradshaw. From what information I was able to collect he was a young man trying to make it in the world as an inventor. He had a new product he wanted to release and he went to all of the victims but was dismissed every time."

"That gives him a motive. We just need evidence to prove the theory. Well done Mabel." Ciel said and then returned to looking out of the window at the blurs of green that whooshed past.

Sebastian brought his arm around the demoness and hugged her shoulders. "Yes well done my dear."

"Thank you." Mabel said as she turned her attention to her hands. She could feel her cheeks becoming warm. This always happened for some reason when she was close to Sebastian. 'Ugh! come on human body. Is he that attractive that you need to react this way?!' She thought.

"Is there something wrong Mabel?" The woman turned her eyes to the young lord who looked bored as ever.

"N-no my lord. Everything's completely fine!"

"Are you sure, my dear?" Sebastian was full on smirking as he stared her down.

'He's fully aware of the affect he has on me! Just stop doing this to me Sebastian!!' She thought but she relaxed and replied with a calm smile. "Yes I'm quite sure Sebastian."

The rest of the ride to the townhouse was spent in complete silence.

When they arrived Sebastian let himself out of the carriage first before helping the young lord and then Mabel out. As Ciel went inside Mabel decided it was time to get things straight with the butler.

"Alright Sebastian. Whatever you're doing, stop it! Stop it right now!!"

Sebastian gave her an innocent look as he unloaded the suitcases from the trunk of the carriage.

"Whatever are you talking about Mabel?"

"Don't act like you don't know! You're just going and being attractive whenever you feel like it and it's stopping me from acting like a proper maid." Mabel stopped him from unloading the suitcases and had her index finger pressed down on his chest as if accusing him of doing something wrong.

Sebastian's lips curled into a grin. He grabbed the hand that was pointing at him and pulled it towards his face, Mabel was pulled closer and he closed off all her exits by trapping her with his other arm. He brought his face close to her until they could practically taste each other's breath.

"Firstly,since when have you cared about being a proper maid; secondly, you find me attractive Mabel?"

Mabel's eyes widened as she blushed. "Oh course I don't think your attractive it's just your human form MIGHT be appealing to some degree and it MIGHT be causing serious effects on my human body."

"Oh really," Sebastian wondered as he brought his lips closer to her neck." What types of effects may I be causing on your human body? Hmm.." Sebastian suddenly nipped her neck.

"W-What are you doing?!"

"Is being flustered an effect?"

He pecked her neck again.

"S-stop."

"Blushing profusely? Is that another one?"

And one more time.

"M-Mr.Michaelis please stop."

Sebastian moved slightly further away but still held her. "Your quite adorable when you do that you know."

"Do what?"

He chuckled. "Whenever your flustered or scared of me you always call me 'Mr.Michaelis' instead of Sebastian. You use a name that holds an aura of authority and I find it very cute."

"I don't mean to do it!"

"And I never told you to stop. Anyway it seems I have taught you enough, this was a lesson if you didn't know, Lesson number 3: don't give in to temptations. But between you and me that only applies to human temptations." He winked at her and kissed Mabel lightly on the cheek.

Then Sebastian let go of Mabel and grabbed the suitcases to take inside. As he walked inside Mabel sank to the cobblestone floor. Her cheeks were so red at this point you would think she was chocking.

'That demon. He always knows what to say to get me in this state of confusion...AND I'M MEANT TO BE THE SUCCUBUS!! WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS ACTING ALL FLIRTY LIKE THAT!! I'll show him...'

"Two can play that game Sebastian Michaelis."
