December 28, 1926

It was a few days after Christmas, and which (Y/n) and Percival's Christmas was spent working. Well, Percival "coincidentally" had business to take care of that took up most of the day  so (Y/n) spent her Christmas with Tina and Queenie. But (Y/n) managed to work something out with Percival, she believed that if she helped him around the office and investigation, he would be more tolerant to work with. At this point, they're working like they're co-workers in and outside of work instead of like an engaged couple, but as long there was no arguing or yelling, she can't complain. Although, she wished things were running differently so that they're both operating like a couple instead of boss and employee.

But the tension was high, with Grindelwald roaming about and this mysterious entity causing problems in the streets of New York for the No-Maj community. In which, MACUSA has been running around trying to resolve the issue before the magical community is exposed for the worst.

In the Major Investigation Department, a group of the highest-level Aurors in the organization are gathered around in a serious discussion with a paper of The New York Ghost at topic. The headline in big bold letters read MAGICAL DISTURBANCES RISK WIZARDING EXPOSURE. Among the group was Percival and (Y/n) themselves looking at the paper with Madam Picquery. Percival was out late the night before when confronting the entity so he had minor bruises and scratches on his face.

"The International Confederation is threatening to send a delegation. They think this is related to Grindelwald's attacks in Europe." Madam Picquery said as she looked at the couple.

"I was there. This is a beast. No human could do what this thing is capable of, Madam President." Percival said with a shake of his head before looking at his fiancé, "What do you think, doll?" He asked her, (Y/n) perked up a bit as she was finally being able to get involved.

"Well, ahem, I think it could go either way." She said as Percival arched a brow.

     "Really? How so?" He asked.

"It could be a monster or a beast as you said. But it could also be Grindelwald as well. Because he's a monster who's actually insane." (Y/n) claimed as Percival's eyebrow twitched slightly at her claim.

"Whatever is it, one thing's clear--it must be stopped. It's terrorizing No-Majs and when No-Majs are afraid, they attack." Madam Picquery said, "This could mean exposure. It could mean war." Everyone nods in agreement before  footsteps are heard and everyone turns to see Tina, almost nervously, walk in with a man who wore a peacock-blue overcoat, burnt-orange vest, dark brown pants, and a yellow and dark grey stripped scarf draped around his neck. He held a leather case in one hand as his other arm was in Tina's hand. He gave a tight and tiny smile at everyone, feeling rather uncomfortable as Tina wanted to shrink at Madam Picquery's hard gaze at her. Percival stands straight as he looked at the two while (Y/n) looked at them with curiosity. "I made your position here quite clear, Miss Goldstein." Picquery said, her voice angry but very well contained which was scarier and frightened Tina.

     "Y-Yes, Madam President, but I-"

"You are no longer an Auror."

     "No, Madam President, but-"

     "Goldstein."

     "There's been a minor incident-"

"Well, this office is currently concerned with very major incidents. Get out." Picquery snapped in an authorities but yet impatient tone. Tina glanced down, feeling humiliated and her voice quiet.

"Yes, ma'am." She said as Percival and (Y/n) looked at her sympathetically.

"I'll see to the incident for you, Madam." (Y/n) spoke up for Tina as she stood up straight. Picquery sighs and nods while waving her off.
