An... Apology!?

~Bowser's POV~

Just as we were about to leave, Lavanne approaches us and says, "So... I know I haven't been the nicest... Actually, I've been a real jerk... But I just wanted to say, I'm really sorry."

Now, if she really is sorry, then that would be nice, but everything can go wrong. Especially Lavanne.

But still, I just cross my arms while everyone else just stares at her.

Mario: Ok, what's up, Lavanne? You've never been the one to apologize sincerely.

Lavanne just sighs.

Lavanne: I guess that was the type of response I deserved...

She scratches the back of her head.

She glances at us all, then sighs again. Then she just walks away.

Was she being serious there? For once, I think she was being sincere! Instead of, ya' know, being all "I'm gonna sneak into your room and pester you".

Everybody else just forgets about it and goes to class. I guess they don't care about it...

But now that everyone's gone, Lavanne comes up to me again.

Lavanne: Hey Bowser...

Bowser: Hey Lavanne.

Lavanne: So... I really meant what I said just earlier... I really am sorry... For everything.

Bowser: But then why did you do it in the first place?

Lavanne: I... *Sigh*...

Bowser: ...

Lavanne: L-Look... I'll tell you all about it tomorrow... If you let me come with you...

Bowser: ... Okay... I'll tell the others, then!

I smile at her, and she returns it with a troubled one. I wonder what's really going on with her...

As I walk down the stairs, I hear another voice. But it's still in the lunchroom. I still walk down but listen in.

Wario: Lavanne, what the heck was that!?

Lavanne: H-Huh?

DK: Don't play stupid, you apologized!

Lavanne: I wasn't playing stupid-

Wario: Stop lying, of course, you were playing stupid!

Lavanne: Well maybe if you'd actually let me talk, you'd understand!

Wario/DK: ...

Lavanne: Ugh... Of course I apologized, dummies. It's just that you startled me! You shouldn't be sneaking up on me like that!

DK: You know what, I'm not gonna deal with this anymore...

I hear receding footsteps. So DK left. It was just Wario and Lavanne now...

Wario: Well, if you were being honest with me, maybe I wouldn't have to sneak up on you!

Lavanne: What do you mean!? I am being truthful!

Wario: Oh, you are? Then what about you and Bowser then, huh? How long have you two been together, huh!?

Lavanne: W-WHAT?!?

Exactly my response, too, Lavanne. Except I didn't scream it aloud, just in my head.

Wario: Yeah! You said, "L-Look... I'll tell you all about it tomorrow... If you let me come with you..." So obviously, you two are going out! What's wrong with me? WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME, HUH!?

I silently facepalm. That doesn't mean we're going out, Wario...

Lavanne: Listen, I'm not going out with Bowser, ok?

Wario: I know you lying, Lavanne!

Lavanne: I'm-

Wario: Shut up, Lavanne! You don't have to waste your breath anymore!

Lavanne: ... Ugh. You know what? I have to start packing my stuff then go to class, because I have actual fun activities to do this break, not just flirt with a gross, garlic loving, fat weirdo.

Wario: What was that, Lavanne?

Lavanne: I SAID... "I have to start packing my stuff then go to class, because I have actual fun activities to do this break, not just flirt with a gross, garlic loving, fat weirdo."

Wario: Oh, so you're gonna hang out with Bowser, now?

Lavanne: Bye, Wario.

Wario: Come back here! COME BACK HERE!!! I'm not just gonna let you get away with betraying DK and me!

I hear his heavy and quick footsteps, overpowering Lavanne's quieter ones. Soon, I hear them behind me, so I turn around, just to see Wario push Lavanne! Down the stairs!

Lavanne: AHHHHH!!! OW! OWWW! OUCH!!

She screams as she tumbles down the stairs. I catch her just as she reaches me, and then I set her behind me while I face down Wario.

Wario: Oh, so you're gonna let your lover protect you now, huh?

Bowser: We aren't lovers, Wario. In fact, we haven't even had any positive interaction until just then!

Wario: You don't have to hide it! I KNOW YOU TWO ARE A "THING"!

I signal Lavanne to leave behind my back, and she does, but not before squeezing my hand.

Wario: Oh, so now you're just gonna run away now? Come back, you coward!

Lavanne just runs faster.

Wario: I SAID COME BACK HERE!!!

He charges, but I block him and throw him back. He gets right back up, though.

Bowser: Calm down, Wario, you can't get mad at her for apologizing. And 'A "Thing"'? Seriously? You HAVE to grow up...

Wario: SHUT UP! LET ME THROUGH!

I throw him back again.

Wario: You think you're so big and almighty, huh? WELL, YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

Well, it looks like he won't listen to reason... Ah well, I didn't want to do this, but I guess I have to...

He charges at me again, but this time I just punch him in the face.

Wario: Blarg...

He went out like a light. I decide to just leave him by his room door and go to my locker. I grab the stuff for my next class, but I hear a familiar voice.

Wario: Don't think we're done just yet!

Wario walks up to me.

You're gonna have a bad time, Bow- ACH!

I grab him and go to his room door, which was surprisingly unlocked, and threw him inside. I close the door and head to class without listening to whatever else he has to say.
