Chapter 2
Riley and I walked home soaking wet, shoes in our hands and our feet covered in sand.
He stopped walking and waited for me to stop too.
“What?” I asked him
“Cara, I have to tell you something.” He said looking ashamed
“What is it, Is it bad?” I said. I’m sure I sounded worried
“I don’t think I’m quite right.” He said looking down
“What do you mean Riley?”
I looked into his gorgeous eyes.
“Don’t do that to me Ri.”
“Cara, I think I might be gay..”
“What!?” I said choking on my words.
“Lately, I just haven’t found girls attractive.” Riley mumbled
“How long have you been thinking like that?” I asked
“Few Months..” He admitted
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” I questioned
“I didn’t know how to tell you to be honest.”
Riley was whispering at this point.
“Besides I was still pondering the idea in the first place.” Riley said
“Of being gay or telling me?” I asked
“Both..” Riley said sounding ashamed. “Please don’t be mad Car..”
“Why would I be mad?!?” I joked “My best friend is gay!”
“SSSHHH!” Riley added
I was happy for Riley, really I was. But there was still that part of me that ached inside. I really did love Riley, In more ways then one.
“Cara?” Riley called. “You’re not going to tell anyone...Right?”
“Of course not!” I said kissing him on the cheek.
Riley smiled.
“I knew I could trust you”
