Chapter 4

“Why didn’t you tell me?!” I asked, almost yelling

“Cara, there are two things I have learned in life.” He said “One: never tell a girl she is fat.. two: never do something to risk your friendship.”

“Still, I would have been nice to know Riley..” I said looking down at my feet.

“I know, Im sorry I just didn’t want to risk it.” Riley said innocently.

He got up off of his bed and went into the another. I followed closely behind.

“Something wrong?” I asked

Riley just shrugged.

“Riley!” I snapped

“You’re the only I have told and I don’t know how other people might react.” Riley said

It was kind of heartbreaking, hearing Riley say things like that. Saying how people are going to treat him differently because he is gay.

“Just don’t tell anyone.” I suggested “Besides you’re not even 100% sure you are in fact gay.”

“I guess you’re right, Just like always Cara.” Riley smirked

“Oh hush!” I chimed

Riley grabbed the remote and sat back on the couch.

“Want me to go make us some food?” He asked

“Nah, I will do it.”

“I wont burn anything this time..” Riley replied

I laughed. Last time he almost caught the microwave on fire.

Riley went upstairs and started clashing some pots around.. That kind of made me worried too. I was really tempted to kiss Riley.. you know just to see if he actually is gay or not. The thought lingered in my head... I heard footsteps coming down stairs.

“Don’t kiss him!” I thought to myself

Riley sat down next to me. I started to lean in.

“Uhmmmm Cara..? What are you doing?” Riley asked

“Nothing.” I replied. I was a terrible liar and Riley knows that more then anyone.

“Were you going to kiss me?” Riley said.

He didn’t seem too concerned by that thought.

“Uhmmm no..?” I replied sheepishly

“Do it.” He replied smiling
