Learning to Dance

Me and Shuichi began walked back to his place, following the sidewalk light up by streetlights and neon signs from closed stores
Our town was tiny, and a lot of people here referred to it as "the bubble"
Mainly because nobody really wanted to leave. It was small and perfect. You could go to work then come home. And nobody drove cars really since you can walk to work. But me..
I was utterly bored of it, I've seen every inch of every shop, every park, every ally, and every person
Except... for him
My train of thought was cut off by a couple drops of rain hitting my head, I looked up to see heavy clouds covering the dark sky
Shuichi noticed it as well
We began walking a bit faster in the direction of his apartment
But it became apparent that we would be soak either way
I smiled
Grabbing shuichi's hand before he could take another step, dragging him into the empty street
He looked startled
But as we made eye contact I noticed he lost his tense state he had previously been in
"Dance with me!" I said with a smirk
He nervously looked away "I-uh..I don't know how to dance."
"Great!" I chuckled "then I can make fun of you later!l
Without another word I pulled myself close to him and began to move my feet, one step backward, then to the side
Shuichi awkwardly took a diagonal step to me
"Looks like someone never learned the waltz" I said mocking him friendly
"I told you I don't know how to dance" he sighed with a bit of frustration
I continued to dance as he awkwardly stepped along with me
I looked up to his face slowly to find him studying the movement of my feet
Attempting to understand
I smiled softly, watching face continuing to dance
He then quickly caught on and began to match my foot steps
I wrapped my arms around the back of my neck- he looked into my eye a bit takin by surprise
He then slowly wrapped his own arms around my waist
We continued to dance, the rain making our hair stick to our faces
Shuichi brushes the hair out of my face
I felt my face get hot
He leaned down and out face began to get closer and closer until
"GAYYYYYYYY"
I quickly looked over to find miu sticking half her body out the passenger side window of a car
"Your kidding" I sighed
Shuichi quickly looked away in embarrassment, letting go of my slowly
"Um.. the weather is getting pretty bad.." said an unfamiliar voice from the drivers seat. It appeared to be the blonde girl miu was talking to the other day
Shuichi looked over- he seemed to recognize her- which made him more embarrassed
"Get in you dick-wads! Your gonna get struck by lighting!"
I sighed dragging Shuichi into the backseat of the car
As I closed the door my face was hit with a towel
"Dry off! Your gonna get the car wet!" Miu snapped
"What were you guys doing in the middle of the street?" Kaede asked
"Nobody ever drives around here- what are you guys doing driving in the middle of the night?" I answered
"Going home? What else" kaede shrugged
"I can think of a lot of what else~" Miu said in a seductive tone before kaede punched her shoulder lightly
"Shuichi- it's nice to see you again" kaede smiles, keeping her eyes of the road
Shuichi nodded "you too"
"You guys know eachother?" I asked
"We went to the same college in a town over- it shut down thought- and it was just easier to move this way" kaede explained
"Most of the students front this town just do online classes though" Shuichi smiles "so I was down to try it" he then finished drying off his hair- his ahogae poking up once again
I couldn't help up poke it around like a cat
"Here we are" kaede said pulling in front an apartment building- I suppose it was shuichi's
"Thanks again" Shuichi said as we both exited the small car
"You guys both live in this building?" Kaede asked
"No! We're having a sleepover cause shuichi's scared of a silly movie!" I said
"Wha- no I wasn't it was yo-!" He protested
"Who was scared doesn't matter!" I said glancing over to him
Kaede laughed at or bickering "you guys are cute"
This made Shuichi turn a bright red
'No- that's cute' I thought to myself- but I'll save the flirting for later
"I'm glad I didn't completely cock-block you!" Miu yelled to me
"Your a shit sock!" I yelled back at her
Miu began to yell back"YOU LOVE SUCKING BIG FAT DI-" But was cut off as kaede rolled up the windows to the car looking done with miu's bullshit
She shot us a sorry look as miu made sexual gestures with her fingers behind kaede's back
Me and Shuichi laughed, turning to walk inside
His face was a bright red and it was the cutest thing ever
