Donna was up just as soon as the sun was. She opened her eyes to see a peacefully sleeping Carter. She smiled as she remembered the night they'd had. She began to get up out of bed but Carter's arm tightened around her.

"Where ya going?" He mumbled.

Ok. Either he's a light sleeper or he wasn't asleep she thought. "To brush my teeth, my breath stinks."

"Hurry." he said and let her go.

She slipped on his T-shirt and headed to the bathroom. A few minutes later she exited the bathroom and paused. Carter was laying there looking like a model with his arms above his head, muscles on display with just a sheet to cover his waist.

"Sleep good?" he asked breaking her from her naughty thoughts.

"Um, yeah. You?"

"Nah, didn't get much sleep."

"Why not?"

"Just up thinking..."

"About?" She said taking the bait.

"About us." he said looking at her, waiting for a reaction.

"Oh..." she said blushing.

He sat up with his back against the headboard. "Come here." he told her and she obliged. "Come sit up here." He grabbed her hand and guided her to sit on his lap, straddling him.

When she sat on him, both of their bodies immediately responded. The only thing separating them was the thin layer of sheet over his manhood and the T-shirt she was wearing.

"Look at me." he stated and she did. "I know you're scared about what's happening with us." She stayed while he continued. "I won't hurt you. You're my best friend, always have been and always will be. You're the most important person in my life. I know we can make this work if you're willing to."

She stayed quiet for a minute or so which seemed like forever to Carter. She was contemplating whether to downplay her feelings like she always does or just go for it for once. She was having a hard time with letting her fear go but she also knew that she would regret it if she didn't.

"I I...I.." Her heart was beating so fast as she tried to find the right words. "Ughh!" She groaned. "You know I hate this mushy stuff." She laughed nervously. He gave her a small smile, waiting patiently for her to continue. "You're right, I am scared. I've never felt like this before. You're the closest person to me, the only person I let in. Were finally taking it to the next level and I'm scared. What if it doesn't work out? Do you really think we could go back to being friends? I can't even imagine..." My life without you.

"Dee everything's gonna be alright, okay? Were gonna be fine." Carter said.

"But how do you know?"

"Because we've been friends all these years, the best of friends. The only things that's changed now is that we acknowledged what we always felt towards each other and were having sex. We know each other inside and out."

She visibly relaxed. She hated that she always doubted everything but Carter was right. "You're absolutely right Car. I don't know why I overthink everything."

"Because that's you..." He said smiling.

"But um Car... You said we were having sex?"

"Yes baby, sex. We haven't made love yet. Trust me, you'd know the difference." He said understanding what she meant.

"Why not?"

"Because someone's always being naughty and need to learn who's in charge."

She wrapped her arms arounds his neck, ground her hips and said in a husky whisper, "And who would that be?"

Carter didn't say anything. He figured it'd be better to show her.
